      Actually IIRC it depends on who you ask. The concern was about pork being more likely to be diseased because pigs will literally eat shit and have not a care about it in the world, but in the modern age pig rearing is, at least in some places, far more sanitary, so the concern basically becomes a question of if you believe it’s Haram because it was dangerous, or if you believe it’s Haram because the Qur’an says so.

      Think of it like jews who dine pescatarian because under tikkun olam they believe the “uncleanliness” of pork now extends to all farm raised meats because of the environmental impact of factory farming, meanwhile the ban on shellfish is ignorable and the reasons it was considered bad can also be pinned to raised meats instead.
