When I was the Marines I once used my clean sock to filter some coffee I manually ground up because I can’t stand that instant shit. There isn’t a much better compliment to breakfast in hell than including sock filtered coffee.
Even with a clean, unused sock, just no. I don’t know what I was thinking. Desperation is a powerful motivator.

How did you grind up the coffee without any tools?
A small rock on a big flat rock that I cleaned off with water and dried in the sun.

No worries. You could do it with a really sturdy glass bottle. Maybe not a coke bottle but something like a wine bottle with a really thick base? Definitely in the realm of possibility.

I appreciate that. I’d still avoid using a sock. If I was in a similar position I would have used a sports shirt material. With material like that it’s difficult for the lint or fibers to seep into the liquid 🙃
