Third DWI? You should be forced into a program cause you have a problem … also, your vehicle should be crushed so you can’t drive drunk a 4th time.

You’re not wrong, but I think they’re just trying to give examples that aren’t automatic life sentences.

Ok jesus. Let’s say he’s walking down the street while high and have a half ounce. The DWI was just an example.

You seem to be giving a lot of deference to the police in this. In case you didn’t know, they lie.

Sometimes, yes. A large amount of the time in fact. You obviously have never been without health insurance, and with only good insurance if you don’t know that.

But the law as written is dishonest. and geared for the most incapable. Neverminding the latter, Marijuana for instance, has a level that makes anyone driving within a week or two of smoking guilty, at the polices’ pleasure, of driving intoxicated. Even legal states, it’s still like 4 ng/ml of blood, an infetestimally low amount, before legalization any amount would suffice, and they round up to 1 ng/ml even though the false positives on amounts that low are 40%. Tylenol is one source of the false positives but I digress.

The law is dishonest, and medical personnel are often as well though many are not, the system and laws themselves are dishonest, and that leads to even the honest medical personnel following the rules giving inaccurate information. If they told the truth in some cases, they would be drummed out of the corp in fact.

We could talk all day about this in fact.

Not much of a conversation on your part though is there? You found one part to disagree with, and didn’t answer any of my points.

Which is how they, the oligarchy, et al, teach partizans to defeat reason.

Looks like someone did the statistical analysis that answers at least how soon they are likely to get recaptured (correlation not causation) at https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Bryce-Peterson/publication/377596204_Catch_'em_if_you_can_examining_how_often_and_how_quickly_people_who_escape_from_prisons_and_jails_are_recaptured/links/65b152979ce29c458baa3402/Catch-em-if-you-can-examining-how-often-and-how-quickly-people-who-escape-from-prisons-and-jails-are-recaptured.pdf

So going off their most comprehensive Model 4, violent vs non-violent offence does not make a statistically significant difference.

Factors predicting a statistically significant shorter time to recapture:

    • Being white-skinned (i.e. for once there is a reverse-white privilege here, not sure why).
    • Shorter sentence length (i.e. being in for less time actually increases the chances of eventual recapture).
    • There being evidence the escape was planned (i.e. planned escapes are less likely to succeed than opportunistic ones - or maybe the good planned ones leave no evidence).
    • The escape happening in summer (maybe longer daylight hours?).
    • The escape happening from somewhere other than a non-secure / minimum security facility, as opposed to a secure facility or a secure or non-secure outside location like work release.
    • The escape happening in a larger group (i.e. those who escape in groups are more likely to be recaptured).
    • The escape happening other than from a local jail (i.e. local jail does predict a longer time to recapture).
    • The escape happening in the Western region.

So I think to answer your question from that, a short sentence length for a non-violent crime doesn’t reduce the time to recapture.

Good rule of thumb is breaking out of jail never helps your circumstance. What does help your circumstance is to call every cop a fucking cunt when they book you after blowing a .41.

Just kidding, it does not help, they will forget to feed you for 2 days though.

They’ll search the area, inform the public, but if only one person got out and they aren’t violent, it would probably just end up in wanted posters.

So if this so-called person can manage to get out of the country, they’re good.

However, if this person is driving drunk a third time, they should stay in jail. Maybe lose a foot or a hand.

Getting caught a third time. Which probably means they’ve actually done it dozens to hundreds of times.

I used to know someone that was on the most wanted list in a county for DWIs. They sorta had an idea of where he was, but no one seemed to go to much trouble to get him. Eventually turned himself in months or years later (I don’t remember exactly how long it was).

It probably depends on the location and several other factors.

If it is a felony, as is the case with 3rd offense drunk driving charges in states I’m familiar with, or whatever it is, they will hunt you across the country. The feds will hunt you down for a misdemeanor I hear, especially for marijuana.

But state misdemeanor charges are a bench warrant. They wait until you show on their radar, and they won’t generally extradite you farther than 100 miles.

It sounds like this person has hit rock bottom and keeps digging. They’re going to get themselves or others killed, and fleeing is only going to make all of this so much worse for everyone involved.

Order something from any of the online cannabis vendors. It will come with a letter to law enforcement that the product you have is legal hemp, not marijuana. Do what’s required for the DUI. Doing anything else will teach you that the thing that seemed like a big problem was really just a medium size problem.
