It’s funny that they might call this a PSYOP because they use disinfo and misinfo on every type of media imaginable, on a worldwide scale the likes of which most can not even imagine and would never believe. internet bots were sent by the millions to destroy america, lol. and every day, there are more. every accusation, and all.

When you let enough people speak and they all agree with no pushback from anywhere else, people start to think maybe they’re onto something, no matter how crazy.

Is it “working splendidly?” They’re getting almost everything they want, so clearly it’s working for them.

Fun fact! If I recall correctly, calling them Arabic numerals is a eurocentric thing. The numbers were introduced to Greeks through Arabic folks but the ideas actually originated in India.

Kinda. The Arabians changed them a little bit. It’s more correct to say the system was developed by both people exchanging ideas, but the vast majority of it in India.

yeah they changed the appearance of the number symbols a little bit, but i would say the real genius in the system is that it’s a place-value system and that each digit is valued 10 times more than the one after it. that’s the core of the system, the rest is just a make-up appearance.

edit: also that you need a digit “0” to make a meaningful math system. that’s genius.

Yes, technically putting a “0” instead of letting the place empty is included in “changing the appearance a little bit”, but your comment pre-edit undersells the innovation.

On the sequence from your quote:

This system was established by the 7th century in India, but was not yet in its modern form because the use of the digit zero had not yet been widely accepted. Instead of a zero sometimes the digits were marked with dots to indicate their significance, or a space was used as a placeholder. The first widely acknowledged use of zero was in 876.

Things were not very consistent at that time. AFAIK the most common was to leave empty spaces, but several people tried to cope with it by different methods. Also AFAIK, that dot was a mere typographic icon, to make the empty space clear, but it wasn’t well accepted that you should actually put something there.

Wait hold on is the Jigsaw puppet taking the sensible position or the whackadoo position here? I’m assuming the latter but she’s absolutely smart enough to know how stupid this sounds.

Sometimes it’s better to shut up and be believed to be an idiot, than to speak out and remove all doubt.

internet bots were sent by the millions to destroy america, lol

i used to think that too. but is it really the case?

there’s definitely a lot of wild statements on the internet today, such as Nick Fuentes neo-nazi views.

though i do wonder, are they really bots, or do people really think like that?

I wish it worked that way lol. It turns out that platforming idiots and hoping that they run out of steam and lose their idiot followers is not viable politics.

conservatives also fall for scams very easily because of this, plus they believe in conspiracies quite alot, in unhealthy amounts. basically conservatives also believe in thier own BS too, thats why you can never argue with them to change thier minds on most things.

oftentimes they are being purposefully disingenuous. i saw a braindead comment earlier where there was some yahoo saying that timothy meveigh was a left wing extremist and then like 20 comments after it agreeing and elaborating. not one person said anything about it clearly being false. they do this because its 100% impossible to argue with someone like that, because the basis of the argument has no basis in reality. also, it is in order to retroactively flip the perception of events via very dull type people reading it, believing it, and signal boosting it so that it propagates organically. they love to spread incredibly massive amounts of mis and disinfo because it is a very easy way to radicalize dull people. I see stuff multiple times per day, every single day where they are saying some shit that they can not possibly believe to be true. they are just trying to change narratives and perceptions of reality. which is why they detest education. they loooooooove dull people. which is why everyone on the right has a conspiracy theory webpage that like 7 people on the planet visit, but all 7 swear that it is the ultimate truth.

Oh and if someone does argue and say that’s untrue, the entire group jumps on that person calling them brainwashed, a sheep, etc. and the fact thar someone replied in the first place only boosts the algorithm and gets it seen by more people. any engagement is good engagement, as far as algorithmic content is concerned. they actually pretty masterfully designed this. it’s clever as hell, and it’s very insidious. i mean fuck those guys seriously but their masters really did game the algorithm and the false info game masterfully.

there are tons of insidious little tricks like that which are developed by the party itself then pushed to their people. Like how they said for decades that they were going to be protection from a tyrannical government, only to rise up recently, work with and infiltrate the federal government and eventually attempt to overthrow the fed via coup. the thing about protection from government was all a lie in order to hide their true intentions to the masses, and now several militials have infiltrated ICE. that lie worked for decades. while THEY are generally braindead, the people who basically control them are not.
