177·1 year agoI don’t know why you think that religious and non-religious people can’t be together. That very attitude tells me that I would never want to go on a date with you. My wife and I have been in such a marriage for 15 years, we have two children, and it works just fine. In my opinion, the problem is the fanatics; they are the cancer of this world, and when I see that someone is a fanatic, it tells me to run away from them.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's a website you've heard of (besides Lemmy) that you're sure nobody else here has?
4·1 year agoAI: It sounds like you might be thinking of “The People’s Republic of Canada,” a satirical website that depicted a fictional communist version of Canada. It featured humorous content, including fake news articles, propaganda, and other comedic takes on Canadian culture and politics.
Also AI: The domain for “The People’s Republic of Canada” was typically found at prc.ca. It was a humorous site that parodied a communist version of Canada.
Of course you are allowed and I’m ready to listen
No, I’m not an expert in climate change, which is why I don’t talk about it and don’t push anyone’s agenda. Maybe other non-experts should do the same. But it doesn’t matter.
Have you done any research or are you just repeating doomsday propaganda like a parrot? By the way, there are quite a few well-known scientists who claim that we are heading towards an ice age, and they have nothing to do with leftists or right-wingers. If you want, I can look for links, but I don’t believe you’re actually interested; you have your own views.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What is one relatively unknown thing that your country does much better than elsewhere, but that most people don't know about?
2·2 years agoThen you will love this documentary. It even mentions Germany a couple of times.
Rootless podman, PostgreSQL, redis, nextcloud, nginx, iptables in one…
I don’t know, I had Nextcloud for a year on a local network and I didn’t have to set an address. The bigger problem was that some applications do not accept self-signed SSL, so I had to change their code, and I don’t really know how to code for Android…
You’ve got to love the open-source community! If only the whole world worked like that.
Any good alternatives?
