No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why don’t more people start profit-sharing companies or co-ops?
61·11 months agoIt’s not uncommon in a lot of industries for more traditional enterprises to refuse to do business with these sorts of companies.
Ok but for real tho. The average American severely underestimates how far you can get on rice, beans, lentils and chickpeas.
I honestly don’t remember but I do recall it’s way more of a process than it used to be

Pretty utilitarian on the ol thinkpad
I saw a highly upvoted post the other day about how a user would downvote all movie trailers because they considered them ads. A wild choice to make when you could just unsub from the movie communities? I think this is very much Lemmy’s brand of toxicity

Lemmy@lemmy.ml•Is there a downvote bot on lemmy or something that downvotes a post regardless of the content ? If there is a downvote bot what can we do about it ?English

Unpopular Opinion@lemmy.world•The ability for Fediverse apps to interact with each other is the least interesting/useful feature of the Fediverse.
2·2 years agoThe Mastodon posts are nearly always higher quality and more on topic than posts from lemmy users.

Unpopular Opinion@lemmy.world•The ability for Fediverse apps to interact with each other is the least interesting/useful feature of the Fediverse.
41·2 years agoOnly because it’s mostly broken. In a world where these features are fully functional, this is absolutely a killer feature. Lemmy has particularly bad support among the broader fediverse and that’s certainly impacting how much of it you see.
That is for the fediverse overall. Most of that comes from Mastodon. I personally have a little more faith in fedidb.org and their numbers. Also, worth noting the criteria for active users on Lemmy was recently changed to include votes, whereas before it only counted comments and posts.

Unpopular Opinion@lemmy.world•Lemmy users lack nuace and it stops actual discussion.
3·2 years agoIt’s a shame that this discussion so frequently centers around the political discussions, but this has definitely seeped into the broader discourse. Short, low-effort comments with no actual content are nearly always at the top. The only solution I can see is to create some heavily moderated spaces where low-effort comments will not fly, but we’ve seen time and time again that lemmy users are more anti-moderation than most.

Oh weird. I thought it’d be fine since I quoted it.
Consider putting the mention at the end as the first line of your post will become the post title. So
Lorem ipsum
Text text text
@lorem@ipsumOn Mastodon will give you a lemmy post that looks like
Title:

Symfonium is pretty good as a one time purchase.
