True. I’m paying a significant amount of my income towards housing, I’m sure as hell living in it.
My team does design reviews and the sudden deluge of AI projects is drowning us with stuff that needs to be done yesterday because it needs to be available in the next release.
I like Alexandrite’s 2-column view. I can browse on one tab without having to go back and forth between posts and feeds or opening posts in new tabs. It’s fast and lightweight too. For me it’s the only web UI option that actually enhances the browsing experience.
Fire in the Sky. Oh wait, maybe I shouldn’t have. I haven’t watched it again since because I was so traumatized as a kid watching it. Maybe I have the guts to watch it now decades later.
You can tune out the noise. Just keep yourself informed at the minimum so you know what’s happening around you.
Yeah that’s not really true. It took me 4 months to see a specialist. I’ve had better luck scheduling with dentists and I can usually see one in less than a month.
I hate when they do it in movies and the character takes so long to wake up and turn it off. I can feel my blood pressure rise the longer it goes.
“I hope this email finds you before I do.”
Like another comment said, it would be interesting to know your age difference, and not to be judgy, how you met. Filipino family culture still has strong “traditional” roles (i.e. father works, mother cooks and cleans), so it’s possible she’s just operating on the culture she grew up with.
Nah. At my flight last week, I pulled out my laptop to put in a separate tray. Apparently for that day, they wanted to keep laptops inside the bags. The line was so busy that when I asked if I need to remove my laptop, instead of just answering me, the agent kept on repeating “sir, what did I say? What did I say?” in an annoyed voice. And he literally was waiting for me to answer, when I didn’t know what he said because I was at the end of the line far from him. That’s not efficient.
If you’re visiting mostly tourist areas and big cities, you’ll be fine. You might notice some people doing a double take, but it should be pretty harmless. Now if you go to rural, bumfuck nowhere places, your experience might be different.
At least in my state, my license number doesn’t change even after renewing. They’ll still be able to pull your record even if you have a freshly renewed license.
Someone handed me a rake and in perfect cartoon fashion, I stepped on it and wacked myself in the face.
Of course I didn’t just take its word for it. I still didn’t trust it enough to leave it at that. It was a fun exercise to do though.
The winter storm was set to arrive while I’m traveling, and I needed to drip our faucets to avoid our pipes bursting. I didn’t want to waste water from a dripping faucet for more than a week, so I asked duckduckgo AI to calculate how much water will 1 drop a second accumulate and if it will overflow on a standard baththub with the drain closed. I can do the math myself, but it’s easier for AI to do it.
Back in my home country, we were always told not to smile and have a neutral expression for government IDs. It was a surprise for me when I was being encouraged to smile at the DMV. I just said “no, I’m good”.
The need to pee and poop.
That’s why it helps to have a staging environment as well.
I still wear clothes that I got 12-15 years ago. So I would say at least a decade at the minimum.
Lmao. I miss the hidden Saddam memes.
