I picked up Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, I think that’s really all I’m going to pickup honestly. Already have a fair bit in my backlog, and there’s nothing else in my wishlist that makes me go “I want to play that right now” that can’t just wait for another sale.
Ah, I thought this was in regards to AFK tracking when discord isn’t focused (which this plugin still won’t fix due to the mentioned Wayland restrictions) - I didn’t realize that it still didn’t work even when discord was focused, which is strange.
I’ve been using Vesktop since screen share wasn’t working on Wayland, and it already seems to do what this plugin does hence my confusion.
I’m not sure if this is actually possible - as far as I know, applications can’t track key presses/mouse movement when their associated window isn’t in focus. It’d be great if they just gave the option to disable the AFK detection since it doesn’t work…
All I wanted them to change was the fact that the installer for the game in 2020 would download then decompress one file at a time, so it took forever for the game to install (on top of the fact that it uses an in-game installer in the first place).
I don’t have the new version, but based on what I’ve been reading they sure curled the monkey paw this time.
Primarily I use Arch on my desktop (and by proxy, my Steam Deck which runs SteamOS), which is what I’ve landed on after a ton of distro hopping. The idea of Atomic distros catches my eyes, but for me in its present state there are too many steps needed in order to make deeper changes (for example, installing a kernel module) - but I quite like SteamOS on my Deck since I know it will always be in a “consistent” state, for example.
On servers I run a mix of Rocky Linux and Debian.
Jeez, no wonder Infinite has always had such a bad reputation then!
As far as I recall, Infinite has had online co-op, just not local/split screen co-op.
But don’t quote me on that!
Oh wow, I didn’t expect another release so quickly! Props to the COSMIC team! I can’t recall where the roadmap for the features and their targeted releases went, but I hope we can get Night Light/Blue Light filtering soon.

Just in case you (or anyone else) weren’t aware, Rocket League can still be played perfectly on Linux via Steam by just force enabling Proton - however nonetheless I 100% agree.
Destiny definitely isn’t in its greatest state right now (and honestly, hasn’t been in a while).
The answer to why they haven’t “ended it yet” is: Because it still makes them money.
Realistically though, if you look at any big discussion for a game you’ll always find people who dislike it (because they tend to be louder than the people who are spending their time playing the game instead).
I’d recommend using ROCM through a Distrobox container, personally I use this Distrobox container file and it has suited all of my needs with Stable Diffusion so far.
That is, if you’re still interested in it - I could totally understand writing it off after what happened 😅
I usually just get by with Alacritty and Zellij, pairs pretty well together.
I personally use Sleep as Android which comes with a bunch of options to help ensure you’ve actually woken up. I utilize the “captcha” option in which when I go to turn off the alarm, it displays a screen full of sheep and all of them but one are sleeping - you have to click the one that is “awake” in order to dismiss the alarm. I guess the process wakes up my brain just enough so that I don’t go back to sleep, whereas with a regular alarm that has just a simple dismiss button I’ll absolutely either hit dismiss or one of the volume buttons to turn off the alarm before I’ve fully woken up.
I also have it set to buzz on my watch for 90 seconds before playing a sound on my phone (which escalates in volume) - I’ve not had a problem waking up with this in the years that I’ve been using it.
There are other options too, such as answering math questions, scanning a QR code, pressing your phone to an NFC tag, heavily shaking the phone, one called “Say cheese!” that makes you smile as hard as you can and uses the camera to detect it, and one that you have to “laugh out loud”.
In 8 years I could probably get get a double masters in programming and game development and make a better game myself.

If they’re using Fedora, then it is highly likely that they are using GRUB as you have to very much go out of your way to utilize systemd-boot on Fedora the last time I checked.

Listen, I’m not going to lie and say that Linux is all sunshine and rainbows, because it isn’t - but neither is Windows. But I can play this game too!
Minecraft runs faster for me on Linux than it does on Windows, I get frequent stutters in Windows especially when trying to use mods (the same exact profile has zero issues on Linux).
Razer’s software was so horrible in Windows that it would quite literally cause Windows Explorer to not startup properly unless I didn’t have the hardware connected when I logged in. Otherwise it was a roll of the dice whether Explorer and the rest of the desktop shell would start. There is zero reason that having a peripheral plugged in should cause Windows’ services to not start properly. OpenRazer on Linux has never caused anything like this, and works flawlessly. Nope, don’t blame it on Razer. As an end-user, I don’t care about that.

Even tracking the problem down to it being due to Razer was a major pain.
Windows has all sorts of issues constantly, however according to the Microsoft forums all I have to do is run some random DISM command to fix it, I’m sure that’ll definitely do the trick /s
Oh speaking of gaming - have you ever tried to use the Microsoft Store for games (which is required if you use game pass - a Microsoft first-party service)? Good luck. And if you do manage to get it to work, but have to reinstall Windows because of the fact that its had some random bullshit problem that requires a reinstall, god help you if you had your game pass games on a separate partition. You would think you’d just be able to tell Windows where the games are and not have to reinstall those - but nope, your account doesn’t own those files (even though you’re logged in with the same Microsoft account that they practically force you to login with these days just to access the desktop)! Due to the sandboxing, you can’t change the permissions back either. But also, since you don’t own those files, you can’t delete them either - and Microsoft requires that the game pass games go in a specific directory on that partition that… you now can’t modify because you dONt HaVE PerMISsioN tO DO thAT! So you need to either format the partition completely, or in my case since I had other stuff that I didn’t feel the need to copy somewhere else just to then copy it back, delete the WindowsApps folder FROM LINUX. What in the actual fuck???
Finally, after you’ve done all that, and have installed Forza, a Microsoft First-Party Game you can’t play multiplayer because the networking services are broken:

People act like Windows is some holy gift from god and is perfect - it isn’t. Anyone whose been using Windows for more than 6 months knows that this is the case, they’re just used to dealing with Microsoft’s bullshit.
Everyone who says Windows is a viable alternative as a daily driver for things other than using Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel is just delusional.

Hardware aside, to my knowledge no one is really actively developing any of the Switch emulators due to the prior legal action that was taken.
Now, eventually it’s possible someone might do it for the Switch 2, but I wouldn’t expect anything quick as whomever does so will very likely incur the mighty wrath of Nintendo’s legal team.
