My cat rolls off the back of the couch quite often when he sleeps. Usually he rolls onto the seat cushions, but it’s hilarious when he goes backward and falls into the stuff we have behind the couch. For reference, we use the couch to help separate the living room and the kitchen, and we keep our cans of soda against the couch. Poor cat falls into them, we laugh, and the he walks around all embarrassed and pissed. Never hurt, though.

Sorry. Was supposed to be like a bowl of Spaghetti-Ohs, but the phone adjusted. Looks a bit messy and not the most conventionally attractive.
I agree with the other comments, go out on the date. Dad says your complaining that you can’t find a girl to go out with, why are you worried that he’s found someone? Afraid they are some horrid person with a crappy personality and a face like a bowl of Spaghetti? Imagine how she is feeling. Now you have something to talk about.

Word replacement is fine and dandy, just don’t have a physical reaction to moist. I have seen people like that and made me lose respect for them.
- I haven’t been to Taco Bell in a minute.
- My wife and I stay at Street Rd.
The second one I get the closer I am to inner city areas. The first I have been hearing more in suburban areas and outside of the inner city regions that it originated.
There are certain things people say that should be banned:
- When saying that you haven’t done or seen something in a while, don’t say “a minute” instead. I will ask what happened sixty seconds ago and make you a fool.
- When talking about where you live, you don’t “stay at”, you live at a place.
- And being afraid of the word “moist” makes you sound like a toddler who doesn’t want a bath.
- One more, “amaze-balls” and “automagic” are not words and make you sound like a toddler who doesn’t want a bath.

Trying to just change the whole system at once is just an excuse for not making the small changes that move the needle.
psion1369@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why is the NFL draft day so "special"?3·6 months agoIt matters to sponsors. Big companies pay money to have their name slapped on everything, and then huge amount of marketing to ensure the max audience size means many more eyes in the sponsors crap. The NFL makes a killing on these sponsored events, so they will drive up the engagement wherever they are. And since sports matter to many Americans, this needs to REALLY SUPER matter.
I agree, who cares about teams picking players except for the players?
I had the same issue with Red Hat 6.1 on a cheap PC. One of the reasons I love using Arch is it gives me the nostral of those days.
People who chew with their mouth open. Looks and sounds disgusting.

I would consider myself a social-anarchist, in that I feel laws shouldn’t be written around societal structures and ideals. Society and culture changes, and I shouldn’t be punished because some dude generations ago decided that something was inappropriate back then. It isn’t now, and shouldn’t be codified that way,

They wanted to add a new attribute to a site that dealt with the fabrics they used. This would have been somewhere near 500 individual products with their own value for this attribute. We had to get this lined up on the product csv because somebody didn’t think to do it in the erp. One of my managers was set to go in and use Excel to merge the lists, but I realized he would have to do this every month until the end of time. I wrote a quick script on the site to do this anytime the product csv needed to be updated. Write once, run forever.

I don’t follow sports, and especially American Football. I have blue hair and last year nearly everyone was asking if I did it for the Detroit Lions. People who knew I had it for two years previous were asking me. Strangers in the store. I see ads for sports adjacent things when I don’t go to the websites like that or watch the games. Tired of seeing it everywhere.

I will blame Wizards for pushing it so hard it’s pretty much the only way to play the game right now.
I have arch on a few different systems. A couple of them, I used the script as I wanted to get them up and running quickly. It was very good for that, and I still had options in the script to make many of the choices and set things up manually instead of letting the script decide.
