Fucking exactly. Unless the offer the game free of charge for those that have already bought it on ps, there is no reason to have a second account for every other game.

If you use a VPN of course, you are good.
To my understanding some prefer MPV because it’s just a video player and that is it. I prefer it for phone use.
VLC I think is way too feature for a video player, for some. I use that on my laptop.

You could also check out Opensuse Tumbleweed, since it’s future proof and requires zero maintenance unlike arch. However, Arch is definitely one the most minimal distros.
I fas as I am aware, Ubuntu ships codecs by default.
Fedora does not ship proprietary software due to license issues.
