  • I think I started with Mint 13. After hopping around for years I’m now on Debian.

I recommend Mint to people in general. It’s perfect for most people. We shouldn’t be required to learn about everything in the world.

I don’t expect anyone to become a mechanic just because they need a car. If that were a requirement then most people would just not get a car. It’s also okay to continue driving and never becoming a mechanic later.

  • You can reduce some of it, but not filter them out entirely. The closest would be to add for example Donald, Trump, Elon, Musk to the title filter, but titles like “Are Swearing In Ceremonies Over Yet?” would not to be stopped by the filter. You can add specific communities, domains and users if they post about Trump and Musk, but you would end up missing huge amounts of posts that is not related to Trump or Musk. And it would still not be very effective.

Go to “Settings” and then “Post Filter”. Tap the + in the bottom right corner. You can then for example tap the field where it says “Title: excludes keywords” and write Donald, Trump, Elon, Musk and save by tapping the icon in the top right corner. You will be taken to your list of filters where you can select the one you just made. Choose “Apply to” and select where you want to use this filter. After that you just restart the app.
