I’m not religious, but I can see the immense value that religion had historically as an imperfect guide to ethics and practical knowledge.

Sure, we can scoff at the hypocrisy and flaws now with our years of schooling, but the common person didn’t have the same access to academia back them. Short, memorable stories that show people getting punished for misdeeds and others rewarded for positive deeds is much easier to impart onto peasants than the nuances of collectivism.

Someone could point to the horrible acts done in the name of religion, but just imagine if those people didn’t have the fear of god in them. Tribalism would have separated humans into different nonreligious groups to genocide in a world without religion.

  • While I’m not in the camp that would make fun of him for his appearance (his existence is already a big enough joke), I think the logic comes from separating shaming people for their body versus attacking someone that you dislike and picking their body as the target. The key difference being in the reason for the body-centered insult; one is tied to hate for different looking people, whereas the other is tied to hating the person and finding something to attack about them.

Absolutely no joke I would watch this all the way through.

The biggest complaint about Hallmark is how they lack creativity and every plot is the same. I feel like the missing piece to their formula is absurdism. Like a love child between the princess switch 2: switched again meets sharknado.
