2·6 months agoAwfully true.
I run cosmos on arch linux so im on the latest kernel. For Ubuntu I dont know, guess we will see what they will pick for release.
It works quite well for gaming, I play some counterstrike with no issues.
I think we are wasting our lives to a certain degree. As kids, we expected more from life than sitting in front of a computer to feed the family. And sitting at a computer is seen as one of the “good” jobs.

1·10 months agoI dont know. Maybe ive been unlucky but “diversity” has meant a lot of people with very different personalities, which has meant that people dont become friends. Has it meant something different to you? Maybe for you its the other way, and you dont have anything incommon with the typical worker (whatever bro means in this context, maybe males and you are female?) , so you welcome more people like yourself.
Doesnt everyone actually want collegues that are as close to yourself in personality as possible so you feel you have common ground?

61·10 months agoYou clearly are not a “team player”. HR already has a plan for your life, all you have to do is follow their instructions and things are smooth.
Feeling unhappy? Deal with that outside of work, and make sure it dont affect your work.
If its one topic i really feel passionate about, its the entire anti-work thing. Because we are human beings. All of us work because we have to. And thats it.

6·10 months agoYou would understand if you understood the mindset of HR employees. To them, you are joining a life mission, not just a job. And they have a plan for your life so it fits the company objectives. Super great. Except no.

“Nobody wants to work”… :)
I mean yeah, all these big tech companies are trying to make their products feel faster, because that’s the only space they can compete. When it comes to privacy, they all lose.
Well, Google has been caught trying to make their sites slower / malfunctioning on Firefox. Usually they get away with it by saying it’s a mistake.
Still the best browser, even though the majority left it for the speed they think chrome has.
