Yeah there’s a segment of arrogant racist halfwit conservatives that get a superiority kick out of demeaning people for stuff like that.

Absolutely. I think most of us are excited for incremental evolution.
And conversely a lack of that is the chief source of my frustration with games. Bethesda is another dev that comes to mind with the loading screen debacle that was Starfield.
That is an interesting thought experiment in general but I don’t think it really squares with Christian theology and the central role humanity has in it.
Yep years ago I was in a bible study, well on my way to being an agnostic already. They were going over a difficult passage and the conclusion was ‘god works in mysterious ways’. Not that I hadn’t heard that nonsense before but for some reason hearing it in that scenario was the last straw and I never went back.
I don’t think we know enough about the universe yet to be sure that cause/effect is 100% the be all end all. It sure seems like it is from where we’re standing now though, that’s for sure.
I had an Amazon seller offer to send me a gift card if I changed my review so I said I would take the card but would probably only change my review to note the gift card offer.
What if the rich kept getting eaten until they figured out a system that the rest of us were satisfied with
It’s extremely hit or miss IMO, there are some really good ones too. This one always cracks me up:
Oh damn well I stand corrected
It’s pretty hard to miss too. I just went there from the link in their comic:
But his nose grew a LOT
Hey I was a skeptic too but got to play it for an hour during the network test and am actually cautiously optimistic. I could still be wrong but it seemed like they put a lot of thought into the new systems.
Jonathan Livingston I presume
Absolutely, the themes are presented in a believable fashion and just as importantly the people in the Severance world react to the technology in believable ways.
I mean not everyone can be Craig Mazin but Foundation was missing a lot of the basic elements that make for good storytelling
It’s a gorgeously produced narrative wreck. I really wanted to like it and there were certainly interesting parts like the clones that were fascinating. It’s been a while but I remember feeling insulted like too many episodes have Harry or someone show up at the end to deliver a five minute exposition explaining what was happening.
Lots and lots of tell don’t show ruins the fun for me which is why I’m loving Severance right now, they’re soo good at showing not telling.
It’s like win-win-win because then you have someone surely going faster ahead of you who’ll get a ticket instead of you. And if there’s a lot of traffic, at least they rear end someone else when traffic suddenly stops.
Yeah agreed on all of that and yet the vote was still the easiest fucking choice of our lifetimes
The hilarious thing about this is that the modern authoritarian doesn’t respect the engineer or the scientist either.
