Everyone will screech but you should just run openclaw or similar and have it go through your logs. It’ll tell you the exact name of your igpu device and help you figure out why it’s not working. It’ll also help manage your queues, quality indexes, space, etc.

It’s reduced my server maintenance by at least 2/3rds.

  • No. You have no idea.

You’ve gone and created a persona in your head about who I am, what I look like, and a whole bunch of other based on almost zero information. I’ve come on, said a single thing you stage with, and you’ve invented the rest and created some imaginary villain to hate on the Internet.

You know nothing about me, my family, my politics, who I volunteer when, what I do for a living. Nope. You’ve taken a single comment, where I disagree on something and extrapolated from there.

The Internet and digital interaction is a wasteland for interaction, and trust me, you’re no better than the other anonymous monkey tossing shit.

So again, I’m fantastic, and you have no fucking clue except whatever you’ve made up about me in your imagination.

  • I love how confident y’all are that AI isn’t going to affect your coding and you really think you’ll survive in the industry without adjusting how you work.

Even today, it’s already better than most coders at small specialized scoped tasks.

Use the tools when appropriate. This is such a stupid fucking thing to get your undies in a twist over.

But yeah, I’m sure y’all will lead the fork and put in your own time to own it.

  • Have kids. I’ve gone and raced in 2 lemons races this year with 2 more to follow as well as well have a few trips with the family. My wife has a Noah khan concert coming up and a Boston trip later this year.

Kids changed things but I assure everyone, I probably have a more active and fun life than most the depressed doom scrollers on here without the kids 🤷‍♂️

The kids aren’t even that expensive once you get past daycare compared to a mortgage 🤷‍♂️.

  • Meh, right now, and only if you’re trying to replace the work force. At is current state, on a $30 a month Copilot plan you’ll already see a huge gain in efficiency with supervised coding and agents doing minor chores and maintenance.

The average coder isn’t better then opus 4.6. No, is not ready to run production code bases unsupervised. Yes, it’s absolutely ready to do many many simple tasks autonomous and more complex coding with supervision.

If you take even a week to try out this shit with an eye for what’s possible currently and have an ounce of common sense, I fail to see how folks don’t realize this will absolutely change how software is delivered. Yes humans will be involved but there will be much much less direct coding and a lot more supervision over multiple concurrent tasks that have had the time to delivery cut significantly.
