Where? Of all places, lemmy certainly doesn’t have folks defending zionists and even in western society at large you have public sentiment against Zionism (or at the very least, the west helping fund it)

Also, a portable band saw would cut through like butter compared to an angle grinder plus it’s orders of magnitude quieter. I can get through 4", 3/16 drop posts in like 20 seconds with a band saw and it’s much safer
>I don’t see why you would want to do things you know will make others uncomfortable eithe
Because then what I can do is an ever shrinking pocket of appeasing others - fuck that
Wipeout Pulse is great as well! I also loved DJ Portable Max (there’s 3 of them)

I do know a few people (very well) who had a super good life then friend group gets them into drug scene and life falls apart.
You’d be surprised - I was this person who had a “super good life” and from the outside “had friends that got me into drugs and caused problems” but trust me, that was a facade and I was 100% seeking it out - that’s why I was hanging out with those friends in the first place.

I mean yeah. I’ll 100% cop to being a faker
That wasn’t my intention, rather just encouraging you and others to try climbing outside (with others who have experience)! It’s so much fun

Outside is where it’s at - indoor is a good workout but hard to call it rock climbing rather just a rough facsimile of it. Being out in nature, cracking a beer and/or hitting the pen, and climbing is on a completely different level from the gym. It’s still super safe assuming you’re doing sport and the accidents like the one you quoted are rare. Driving to the gym or crag is far more dangerous
CoS/LaVey are more like the petulant libertarian flavor of satanism.
Satanic Temple are the chill ones
Desktop: Pop!_OS 24.04 (thinking of rolling back to Gnome as cosmic is too rough around the edges still)
Servers: Ubuntu Server 24.04.4
Containers: Debian Trixie or specific images for the project I’m working on
I wish, just check Atlanta - winding stroads as far as the eye can see
Which is funny because this was just the main instance when I (and many others) learned about Lemmy. I’ve been called a tankie because of my instance when I’m pretty sure tankies would call me MAGA as I’m somewhere between a leftist, a liberal, and libertarian
Sony should have brought David Lynch in earlier, imagine the PS1 commercials we could have gotten

Mint, (?)ubuntu, and Pop!_OS are what I suggest because 1) most software install guides target these distros. Anything that uses a package manager other than apt means extra googling and pain for those who just want an OS that works and could care less about the miniscule advantages of one over another 2) stable releases and driver support and 3) similar UI to whatever they’re coming over from. Someone else ITT mentioned KDE for Windows and Gnome(or Cosmic once it’s stable) for Mac folk and I think that tracks well
I’ll die on this hill - no one calls everything Coke and those who claim so haven’t been in the South especially the area around Atlanta. “Coke” is used as an example - for instance, “Hey, can I get you anything? Coke, beer, water, or something?” Yes, they mean they have soda one of which is coke. No one would say, “hey, can you get me a coke” and mean Sprite / etc. At most, they may use it to mean coca-cola products but usually you’ll get a list of which sodas they have and are offering

Damn, wish I had known about that before I went the takeout method
Really just depends on whether my wife finds something her family wants or I do. Throughout the year if you see something your SO’s family would like, buy it and let your SO know
You got me there, I was .2+% off on my rough estimation. Have a good day man

According to Mozilla, roughly 2/5 (that’s 40%) of its expenses were to pay leadership.
Unless “paying leadership” now includes real estate costs, marketing, legal, consultants, etc…
Not sure why you’re so wound up on this, you read the financial statement wrong which isn’t a huge deal, not sure why you’re so adamant to argue this point
Sure! So take a look at their Form 990 which details the executive pay. The total was $9.9M which is 1.9% of total expenses. Speaking of the CEO specifically, their comp was $6.25M which is 1.2% of total expenses
The folks at the vineyard are pretty nice too! Guy had a programming background but decided to get into wine
