Competition is good…when the competition is actually competitive.
But what has happened is games on are steam … which installs the launcher + game.
So it’s not a win at all. It’s actually a loss for us. If steam was to force “yeah you can publish the game on steam, but you cannot use your launcher”
The first major issue for me was that the launcher was a crypto miner and they didn’t tell anyone.
Since then, I have 0 trust in them and refuse to install the launcher. I don’t care for the “free games”
Every airline does this crap.
Lufthansa cancelled my business class seats…just to have them be sold at a higher price. (I was checking flights to rebook with other airlines and business class seats were still available but for a much higher peice).
I tried nebora after I effed up my kunutnu install. I was doing some super weird stuff. (Tried to remove snap)
Nebora for me was the worst experience out of every distro I’ve tried. I went back to kubuntu and manually applied what nebora did with much better results. (This time around I removed snap before doing anything else).
Kububtu with snap removed has been perfect so far.

Yeah sure layoffs aren’t happening.
Aka- layoffs happened/are happening.
I moved to Kagi paid search engine and haven’t looked back.
There are open source search engines albeit you’ll need to host it somewhere.
Any major search engine (think Google, bing, etc) are just place for companies to pay to get into the top results.
