71·3 months agoDid you mean “empathizing”? I’m having difficulty empathizing with cases like that too. I mean, ugh, it’s mind-boggling, $10k is a life-changing amount of money for most people and this guy threw it away on a video game that’s not even out yet. Still, people like him are being exploited for personal gain, and that is also wrong.
2·4 months agoThis threw me off for a hot minute. I used to know a guy who went by the nickname “Vag” (with a hard “g”), so when I read this, I thought to myself, “Vag! I wonder how Vag is doing?” But you’re talking about VAG, not Vag. Now I’m just trying to cram as much vag as I can into this paragraph. So much vag. Vag vag vag. Thank you.

Yes, they’re a publisher. They supposedly have/had a small team working on a Blade Runner game, but they have yet to release a game they developed on their own. Publishing is their thing, so Annapurna Interactive is kinda fucked. I mean, jeez, it looks bad, I mean they all walked out.

2·6 months agoI believe ytDownloader might be what you’re looking for. It’s a yt-dlp frontend, you can export to video/audio pretty easily. And it’s in active development. I’ve used it to export short clips to WAV a few times, nothing too fancy, but so far it works pretty well.
2·9 months agoI don’t think Tailscale counts as a reverse proxy, but it does support HTTP/3 and QUIC so that suggestion may not apply here. Still, it might be worth double-checking to see if they are disabled. Also, have you tried disabling Tailscale altogether and connecting directly?

You aren’t the only one to report halted playback in Navidrome. It appears to be a known open issue that goes back a few years.
One user in particular suggested last fall that the source of the bug may not be Navidrome’s fault. Are you using a reverse proxy?
For those that are still struggling with this issue, I can confirm that (in my case) the problem was related to the HTTP/3 QUIC protocol (not a Navidrome issue). As suggested by a few others in this thread, the issue can be addressed by ensuring that your reverse proxy supports and is configured for HTTP/3 QUIC, or by turning off the QUIC protocol on the client side (browser configuration), or by disabling HTTP/3 (with QUIC) feature on Cloudflare.

Fun fact: Nirvana covered Led Zeppelin’s “Heartbreaker” at their first show at a house party in in 1987. They were playing cover songs since day one. Heck, nearly half the tracks on Unplugged are covers.

For those on the fence about Borg Backup because it’s a command line app, FYI there’s a great frontend GUI for it called Vorta (yeah, in line with the Trek theme lol) that works really well. I don’t see it mentioned often, thought I’d pass that along. Might want to avoid the Flatpak version if you need to back up stuff outside your /home dir.
