I have to disagree here. Well, probably. I figure, if you’re not lazy/half-assing your job, you’re pretty much working hard, right? I see it as being diligent about your job, and yes, I do see some virtue in that.
But you also wrote “indicator of poor management” which makes me think you’re using “working hard” as a label for something like “unpaid overtime”. That would be a whole different ballgame.
I don’t think this post is a good fit. The name of the community is “mildly infuriating”, not “absolutely enraging”!

It’s not even in the outermost layer of the atmosphere! The ISS orbital altitude is somewhere around 420km high (heh) while the thermosphere stretches from 85 to 600km up. The exosphere stretches far beyond that, up to 10000km or so.
It’s so easy to armchair quarterback other peoples’ lives, especially when they grew up in a different culture from your own.

I have to confess, I’m not a fan of the “Game: Remastered” trend. I love games this old partly because of the nostalgia. Re-releasing them this way erases that part of it for me – plus, I just can’t shake the “WTF, I need to re-buy a game this old?! Forget it!” feeling.

Hey, not so fast. It’s easy to say that glibly, but the lines get kinda blurry when you consider long-term hotel stays and short-term rentals. What’s really the key difference between the apartment and the hotel when you’re staying at the former for a week at a time or the latter for a 3-month stint?
I’m not saying the Venn diagram is a circle, mind you, just that there’s definitely some overlap.
What about condos? Is there something that prevents converting all apartment buildings and having owner-occupants instead of tenants?

No, not entirely. Lots of companies pay dividends. Buy stock in those, and you’re speculating that they’ll continue to be profitable enough to pay dividends.

I’m not sure I can agree on this point, either. The time, maybe. The skill? If you’re skilled enough to use Lemmy, you’re skilled enough to set up a brokerage account and click “buy” on whichever companies meet your criteria. It’s not actually any more complicated than online banking IMO.
