We don’t allow lemvotes here, as it’s vote snooping spyware. Lemmy users have overwhelmingly said they’d prefer their votes to be private. Currently only admins and mods can see them.

Thanks, just tried this out and it works well.
Yes it is, you can look at any of our profiles or LemmyNet repos to see what we’re working on.
We’re still only ~40% funded for two devs, so it means we have a long way to go, and aren’t yet at a spot where we can pay more devs into the coop.
There are only a few good answers below that even obliquely reference historical materialism, how colonialism is related to different modes of production, the defining features of the columbian era of euro-american capitalist-colonialism, and its connections to race. You’ll likely get much better answers if you cross post this to lemmygrad or hexbear.

Is there anything white supremacists won’t believe about the DPRK?
They’ve been gorging themselves on slop like this for decades, and are just like : yep, I believe it

With a default being whatever the consensus ends up being.
Dessalines@lemmy.mlOPto Lemmy@lemmy.ml•Lemmy community feedback: Should we fetch and combine comments from cross-posts on the post screen? · Issue #3415 · LemmyNet/lemmy-uiEnglish4·17 days agoIts not really combining post comments. It would just be displaying cross post comments in different sections at the bottom.
Dessalines@lemmy.mlOPto Lemmy@lemmy.ml•Lemmy community feedback: Should we fetch and combine comments from cross-posts on the post screen? · Issue #3415 · LemmyNet/lemmy-uiEnglish3·17 days agoNo. Your comment would only go to that specific post you replied under.
Dessalines@lemmy.mlOPto Lemmy@lemmy.ml•Lemmy community feedback: Should we fetch and combine comments from cross-posts on the post screen? · Issue #3415 · LemmyNet/lemmy-uiEnglish3·17 days agoThis is no different from viewing all, going to a federated community, and replying to comments there. This changes nothing about federation.
Dessalines@lemmy.mlOPto Lemmy@lemmy.ml•Lemmy community feedback: Should we fetch and combine comments from cross-posts on the post screen? · Issue #3415 · LemmyNet/lemmy-uiEnglish4·17 days agoThis doesn’t change anything about existing federation; you can even have crossposts in the same server or even the same community (like a historical link).
Dessalines@lemmy.mlto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What exactly is the situation of the Uyghur in China's Xinjiang since 2014 up until now?9·18 days agoThe BBC was full on pushing the propaganda that Iraq had WMDs, were they credible then?
Were they credible when pushing for every single US war and proxy war since?
Are they credible in their full support for Israel, and condemnation of the Palestinian resistance as terrorism?
Remember that time the BBC got caught editing photos of vloggers in China to make it look dystopian, then quietely edited the photos after getting caught?
Report those comments so we can ban them ASAP.
Go off rudyard kipling / winston churchill, you tell those barbarian middle-easterners and asians just how superior you are. /s
Dessalines@lemmy.mlto Lemmy@lemmy.ml•[Suggestion] Custom filtering of feed by keywordsEnglish3·18 days agoYep that’s correct. Unfortunately a lot of apps start adding app-specific features (which is fine of course), but then don’t make issues upstream about the lemmy back-end supporting it everywhere. Kind of a conflict of interest where devs want you to use their apps with the most killer features, but don’t care about the rest of the eco-system or helping other apps at all.
No release date on 1.0 yet. The back-end is 99% ready, but we’re rapidly updating [lemmy-ui] to get it ready also. Then jerboa is next, then a longer period of testing and bug-fixing.
Its great seeing all the same arguments used to justify the US war on Iraq (where they murdered a million innocent people) again in 2025. Thanks, I needed to see this today. /s

Dessalines@lemmy.mlto Lemmy@lemmy.ml•[Suggestion/Question]Add costum sort types to lemmy?English3·18 days agoYou’ll need to have a familiarity with rust and postgres before adding a random sort. If you open up a github issue on this tho, we’d be able help out.
He is absolutely a terrorist also. He fits every definition of one.
Side point but where does this “one-upper” tendency come from? Just let people describe things in terms that make sense to them. This isn’t twitter, there’s no reason to contradict them.
