Depends on how much grease you have— always stored bacon grease in glass jars to use later for greasing pans and given bacony flavor. Secondly, grease pours easily and is liquid when hot, but because it’s hot you can’t pour it into the trash, or wipe it clean with paper towels as mentioned. You have to let it cool which means it becomes more of a mess.
I got a $50 GameStop gift card in 2015 as part of some hackathon I went to— which was cool since as a kid didn’t have a credit card or anything; and bought the steam controller with it, would play CS:GO with it between class. Still my favorite controller and one of the only ones that lets you change the turn on sound too.
I have an i7-2600 prebuilt for my NAS— is idle most of the time, bought it for $100 4 years ago. Have pretty cheap power at like $0.12 per KWh, but again mostly idle so probably doesn’t cost much anyway.
Maybe Vader someday but now he’s just a small fry
Successful protests have clear policy objectives; also work from home and the lack of large factories that can be shut down by walk outs means that the collective bargaining is slightly weaker in places like USA.
People make connections with objects, same reason why people start hating certain art pieces when they’re told they were made by hitler. It’s perfectly normal— also good for the environment.
I would say it can sometimes be nice to have an old Laptop for this purpose, you have to slightly over build your solar but can be nice to have a mouse and keyboard attached and monitor, ssh works. Still have an hp laptop with a core i5 2nd gen sitting out in my greenhouse, is a little more power hungry but not terrible on idle, and is nice to be able to configure changes to watering without going back inside or wrecking the zen by bringing phone.
I don’t think a passive actor at all, both Israel and Iran both back people and kill people, the scale is debatable though.
Hey if it’s still out there as open source could finally fix those bugs lol!
But yeah seems interesting especially if it had a second life once it was opened sourced. It kinda boggles my mind how much companies are willing to scrap things after putting so much work into it, but I guess that’s the whole sunk cost thing but still.
Plenty of nostalgia for toon town so if it was used could broaden audience of video def.
Thanks for your ‘rant’ was interesting seeing some of the same problems that pop up for me in my current game dev (how to handle when to load certain things).
This feels like the kinda project that should have a 1hr YouTube indie doc about it

I would think it’s a combination of two things: stage fright / performance anxiety, and just the social load that another humans presence requires; your brain pends some of its processing power on reading their posture and emotions and social ques.
Well I just graduated and it took 5 1/2 years, granted I took a year off for covid, but I think I’m doing fine, plus if my experience is anything to go by when your slightly older you take things more seriously which can be beneficial— don’t sweat it!

I am also interested in said experiences
Nice I wasn’t old enough (at least my parents thought so) to have my own computer at the time but I remember my dad showing me a long index of distros around then and thinking it was cool that there was puppy Linux and with “damn small Linux” that you could curse in the distro name
Electoral college, propaganda, tribalism, stupid people.
I didn’t know what it was about and was confused why anyone would break a hip during a scrum session; those sticky notes really are violent.
