I understand lepton works in the other direction, and you wouldn’t need processor architecture conversion to go from Android VR to frame VR.

I’m saying if you want additional horsepower, converting Android VR (meta apps) to full fat pcvr to run on a real computer to then stream to a quest or a frame or to play those titles on index, vive, etc.

Cracked quest games exist already, there are side load redistributables which allow you to bypass meta authentication.

So sailing the high seas sounds like an option. But ideally, publishers who want the additional distribution but can’t the arsed to make a new x86-64 version of their game for PCVR, could at least squirt out a new build that leaves off the Oculus DRM.

I’m interested in continuing my game of dead cells that lives on my Android handheld, from my desktop with a controller in the evenings I’m home.

Also, i have preferred the emulator experience when on android devices versus fine-tuning them and playing them one on full-fat PCs.

Outside of three Android native titles which are pretty much locked down by Google Play services, and console gaming with emulation, I honestly kind of struggle to find a home for lepton in any of my regular configurations.

I got into following the channel rather late, like, around 2017.

Linus has absolutely said some cavalier things, and his channel has a strong history if admitting their faults when they are called out.

I love that I have open source software for almost all of the functions, and well essentially all conglomerated businesses are evil, I trust Visa way more than I trust, say, Bitcoin, or BNPL vendors like Affirm, or Klarna.

I’m not going to handle cash money if I don’t have to because exchange rates are terrible and take margins at EACH transaction, are bulky, are prone to loss and are dirty, while my CC/Debit cards offer zero forex fees.
