So eventually also useless for people like me who don’t have an account.
Yes, searchability is an issue. It’s partly how the big web search engines work, but I think it’s also partly that many people actively want to be excluded from web search (which is fine on the microblogging side of fedi, but it makes less sense here)

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•No, you can't keep your 20 year old dictionary password
3·12 days agoThe Plague: Someone didn’t bother reading my carefully prepared memo on commonly-used passwords. Now, then, as I so meticulously pointed out, the four most-used passwords are: love, sex, secret, and…

The Plague: god. So, would your holiness care to change her password?

So much knowledge is going to be lost, honestly. And before people point out lemmy/kbin (and other Reddit-like fedi software), it’s still not comparable.
Well, that’s upsetting.
Edit: and the public API as well, I guess this might be the end of alternative frontends for Reddit (my only way to access Reddit these days)
If they actually wanted to manipulate markets, they would use mainstream media.
I… was making a joke…
What kind ot tests are you two given? All tests I’ve been given just have these strange blotches. I think my doctor’s printer is broken…

Their hardware support is quite good, I still use my old watch I bought many years ago on sale (it was already old stock by then) so you don’t really need anything new or fancy (and expensive)
Or people are too busy with their lives to care 🤷♂️

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•If you ever see a CEO like this, warn a brother.
42·15 days agoOkay, I’ll warn people about blurry CEOs. They should be easy to spot
If you already own a “smart device” (e.g. a watch that can track steps or your sleep), GadgetBridge is a FOSS app that can communicate with various devices and track these things for you (and export it if you like spreadsheets)

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How do the people claiming the X2 causes brain bleeds explain why every other rollercoaster isn't also causing fatal brain bleeds?
3·15 days agoWas that the guy who was claiming there was no way people could drown in a cannal and newspapers (and eyewitnesses) were lying?
Is it just me or this is just a lazy repost?
Yeah, but don’t forget how profitable it is for the companies to have workers they can legally pay below minimum wage pittance.
All it costs is people’s freedom and (ironically in the context of USA) tax money.
Edit: typo
That’s probably why they are dreaming about those autonomous androids so much.
I’d say there’s definitely more than 10 distros out there
