Games@lemmy.world•Games with singleplayer campaigns that let me fight/kill nazis?English
61·26 days agoKind of a problem how nazis in WW2 games are quite different from the wannabe-fascists and fascists of today. You mostly kill drafted soldiers in those games, and if you think about it too much, those are probably the people who least deserve their gruesome deaths.
Makes it not work for me as a safety valve.

I got exactly this in a Dream Theater concert after listening to all their albums a lot.
The one that ends us with f… I mean ISO 8601 of course

Unpopular Opinion@lemmy.world•AI music is objectively good and getting even better and that's a good thing for me as a music consumer.English
51·1 month agoThere are several uses for music. For some of them, AI music like you pasted works well – like if those were playing as background music in a restaurant there’s no problem. You’re not there to listen to the music.
But if you want to really listen to the music… you usually want to listen to old songs or then something totally new and interesting. Your links were none of those. It was sophisticated elevator music.
Then again, I don’t see any reason why AI couldn’t some day be able to compose something new and interesting. A lot of the music humans create is derivative. The spigot of really new stuff has been kinda dry since the 90s it seems to me.

21·1 month agoWhat actually sucks, imho, is that the only way to reach the target is to steal the stuff and (most importantly) not get caught until your product is too big to fail. Then later you can just throw some hundreds of investor millions at a lawsuit and continue business as usual.
Systems that guide towards stealing and buying off the courts are not great.

12·1 month agoTrying to battle AI bots by making using AI even faster than reading actual documentation. Great job.
~25 years here and I started getting bored about 15 years ago.
If you still have a working memory, you remember doing weirder shit than AI can ever dream of. Every one of us was a junior at some point. And judging by the comments here, most here still are.
So what exactly is he wrong about in here? Are you people running your agents without guardrails and constraints?
A not-yet-convicted murderer. But because he’s handsome and killed an executive, we like him without any hint of moral irony. Even when he’s himself old money.

This was a fun read at age 12.
HR is not your friend when you’re the asshole, that’s for sure.
The difference between those thoughts is sort of vague.
