  • Absolutely do it. I’m an American living in Albania, I haven’t been to Budapest yet, but I have a ton of friends that go at least every couple of years. Everyone says it’s amazing.

In addition, it’s cheap rail and flights to the rest of Europe. Hop around every chance you get while a shitty hostel bed won’t break your body. If possible, plan to spend an extra month after your semester with a rail pass and no plan.

I really can’t stress enough how much I wish I would have done this. Go, use your student ID to get everything possible for cheap. See works by all of the ninja turtles, view ruins that existed and have been abandoned multiple times the age of the US. Eat weird food. See so many awe inspiring churches that you’re like, “oh, it’s ABC(another beautiful church)”

  • Here’s another way to look at it: Everything is being split equally. The spouse that was staying at home wasn’t bringing in money, but was providing value. Otherwise, they would have had a job. They weren’t building a resume or climbing a corporate ladder though.

So say Lisa has worked for the last 25 years while the kids were being raised by John. Lisa is now in middle management making $100,000 a year compared to the $30,000 a year when they got married. The kids are through school, so Lisa doesn’t need John to take care of them anymore, and fires his non-income producing ass(divorce). John, after staying home for 25 years can now go get a job at $30,000. He’s out that 25 years of corporate experience that would have enabled him to be making $100,000. Alimony is to cover some of that shortfall.

  • Yeah, everyone in my family has cooked professionally for at least a few years. My wife’s family lived off of microwaved food. As I was teaching her that food could have flavor, she started asking questions about cooking that were easier to answer with a clip from good eats. Eventually, I went looking for a boxed set of it, and one hadn’t been released. So I spent the $600 I was willing to spend on it on a server.

  • High school was a complete waste of time. I dropped out 3 weeks after I was legally able to. I fucked around for 2 years until I could get my GED. I took the GED tests in a day more than a year before I would have been able to graduate.

I dropped out of various colleges for a bunch of reasons. The first was my company expanding and not leaving enough time for homework. The last was the Devry’s completely false statements about their students being recruited to FAANG companies.

  • My big problem with quitting assassin’s creed is that it’s the best representation of what these places looked like hundreds of years ago. I know it’s not 100% accurate, but the fact that my wife could guide me around Rome in game because she’d lived there is one of my favorite gaming experiences. Replaying an AC game and reading all of the research has made vacations to places where they’re set amazing.

That said, I’m never buying a subscription to games. The second I can’t buy the game and have it, I’ll stop taking their abuse.
