Dude. I needed to use this app the other day for the remote shutter function, and I was somewhere with no signal and no internet. Only to discover that the app had updated and now required me to create an account to use it. I was pissed.

My great grandmother got married at 14 and had my grandmother at 15.
I want a FOSS version of the original core use of Facebook. A place to keep up with IRL friends and aquaintences. Share photos and updates with everyone you know. Organize and send out event invites. Facebook groups.
Sure you can do that the old fashion way. But the convenience of those features is the only reason I still use Facebook. I assume its what keeps most of FB userbase around.
It’s pretty normal. I took 6 years. I was having a good time.
Its only a sin if you feel empathy for the other gods.
I had no interest in this movie either way, but now I want to see if its even remotely as bad as people are claiming it is.
The USA is supposed to be a “free country.” Everyone within its borders should have the right to criticize the country, or anything at all, and not face repercussions from the government.
That doesn’t mean they won’t face repercussions from everyone else in the country, who also have the right to criticize them.
The only way to use Adobe products on Linux are the web apps (which are limited) or in a windows virtual machine (slow) or by dual booting into windows (annoying).
You can run really old versions of Photoshop via Wine. But if your needs are that simple, you can probably just use Photopea.
For my use case of Lightroom for accessing and editing final photos across my computer and phone, and occasional photoshop use (mostly for printing) I am able to get by with the web apps, and windows virtual machine.
I would love to drop adobe. But the Lightroom Mobile cloud storage sync feature is too invaluable to me right now and there is no other option that comes close to that feature.

divers? was that supposed to say “divots?” Are there actually documented cases of someones skull deforming from wearing headphones enough? I have never heard of such a thing.
The new Stanley cup collector craze absolutely. It’s bonkers.
That said Stanley makes high quality stuff at far more reasonable prices than Yeti. I have a Stanley coffee thermos I have used every day for almost a decade. It was like $30.
I don’t think there is anything wrong with having strong brand preferences based on reputation and personal experience. The issue is when people become fanboys.
The worst one IMHO is YETI coolers. Sure their stuff is well made but the prices are obscene, and there are loads of absolute tools who will buy everything they make and make a cooler brand their whole identity. $40 for a 5 gallon bucket? Come on.
You are talking about tankies. Who are so far left they made a lap back to authoritarianism. In no way do they represent most leftists.
Yes. I don’t really buy white clothing for that reason. I also don’t like black clothing because of lint showing up so easily. Plus it gets really hot where I live. Wearing black out in the sun is just extra miserable.
Maybe. If you want to trade heartburn for intense diarrhea.
Biological alarm clock. AKA my kids wake me up.
They are obviously ranked too. duh. Number 1 and 2 are always fighting for rank. With 18 friends they only have 2 left in the 20 friend limit. It’s very competitive.
It’s cute that you think anyone but the richest people and biggest corporations will be deregulated.
Rest assured, you will be paying taxes to somebody until the day you die.
You can connect the camera direct via USB and mount as storage without the app. Though it’s only USB2 speeds lol. The app allows you to transfer over wifi which is dumb because it only lets you do that with jpgs. It won’t transfer raw files wirelessly. I just pull the card and use a fast card reader.
I personally only use the app as a bluetooth remote shutter release.
But many people also use the app to auto geotag their photos, as not many canon cameras have built in GPS.
