  • It’s kinda weird honestly, capitalists should like when the worker is in debt because then the worker would be more desperate to get a job and agree on worse conditions. not to mention entire system is set up to put workers into debts and thus prevent them from organising and instead forcing them to work more for less.










  • In socialist Poland both were used, but “comrade” (Towarzysz/Towarzyszka) was the honorific for member of the party while “citizen” (Obywatel/Obywatelka) was used for everyone else in official situations. Most people still used the “Pan/Pani” (Mr/Mrs) though, which was a bit reactionary because in Polish language this word does not even come from the bourgeoise honorific “Master” but from the aristocratic “Lord”.



  • Lend Lease accounted for around of 4% of total war material expenditure by USSR. We can’t even assume that it was especially important because of being timely, since only around mid 1943 some LL deliveries, mainly trucks, achieved numbers enough to really allow USSR to shift their production in other directions.
