My eyes always do this and I was diagnosed with ADD as a child after an IQ test. Teachers before always accused me of being dishonest and I got into all sorts of trouble because of it.

I’d say the ARR suite but I knew beforehand that would need it. I just love that I can access overseerr, search up and coming and already out content, click “request”, and then magically it just shows up on my plex after a couple minutes.

A service that I host that I never knew I needed is Nextcloud. Works exactly the way OneDrive worked for me. I record footage on my phone, upload it to Nextcloud, and log onto any computer of mine in the house and can edit the footage. Sometimes I edit footage in VR while I play XPlane, then I’ll save it, turn everything off, and continue right where I left off on my laptop.

Probably super basic but locally syncing things is a godsend to the way I used to do things (KDE connect transfers footage from my phone to a single computer).

Never. At my work it would be career suicide to identify as that and I’d open myself up to harassment and career progression issues.

If you lie, you have to consistently repeat that story to keep up the lie. This usually involves smaller lies to pad the bigger lie with so it blends in with truth. This is like a web, where all stories are connected and each must be upheld for the main big lie to be believable.

Someone who doesn’t have years of experience in lying and its consequences won’t know that each subsequent lie now needs to be upheld, so things get messy.

True, but when it’s a main community that pertains to your interests, it’s crappy to be banned from it for fictional reasons. Would be the same on any other social media site I guess. I find people here are more militant in their beliefs.

I got banned from the Canada community and according to the mod log, it was for homophobia and bigotry.

That really rubs me the wrong way because I’ve never ever posted anything like that. I’ve been the subject of homophobic and bigotry based bullying my whole life and the only comment I posted on that topic there was an account of my first hand experience of being catfished on Grindr and then outed as bi on the towns facebook page and subjected to ridicule and harassment.

My mother in law doesn’t believe in germs or illness so she came over when she had the flu and now the entire house is sick. My wife’s got a high fever and I can’t breathe out of my nose. I’m exhausted with all the back-to-back dinners.

We’ve had a big family dinner full of high cholesterol low fibre food since a Monday and this won’t end until Jan 3 so I’m running on fucking fumes.

People just want to be accepted and loved. Use this knowledge to get almost anyone to do what you want.

Observe their body language. Do they cross their arms a lot? How much eye contact do they make? Do they shift around when talking? Do their eyes dart around the room?

All these are clues about their personality and disposition and you can tailor your communication to them depending on how receptive they are. Do they laugh easily? What makes them laugh? Do they talk a lot? Do they talk about themselves?

Finding out to what degree of extrovert/introvert they are can go a long way into successfully manipulating anyone around you to do what you want.
