… castration … cut off all penises.
I think you’re confused.
(a) The term “child” or “children” means an individual or individuals under 19 years of age.
Uh, fucking what?
It is highly unlikely that anyone will be able to do anything about this, or any of the other many shotgun shenanigans rolling out of the White House of late. They’ve got all three branches of the federal government, laws clearly do not apply, and Trump himself has explicit permission from SCOTUS to commit crimes.
Any opportunity to stop all of this was at the beginning of November.
No, there is no stopping it, not any time soon. If there’s a midterm election, there might be a chance of wresting back one (or one half) of those branches of government, but even if Democrats take control of one or both houses, they don’t have the best track record of doing anything about it.
It will not end well, and when shit goes sideways, it’s gonna happen fast.
It’s not a bad faith argument. You don’t like genocide. China is doing what you don’t like to the Uighurs. One can only presume that you don’t buy products made in China, since that funnels money and power to the Chinese government.
Unless it’s just the one genocide you don’t like.
Not at all. When someone claims that they don’t like genocide, but only ever makes noise about the one they can use to get fascists elected, I think that’s relevant.
It was delivered badly here, but is not innately bad.
Honestly, if it was the other way around and the rich boyfriend was coming to a backyard bbq in the country, he’d feel uncomfortable wearing a suit probably, and it would help to give him a heads up on the “local customs.”
Trying to make sure two cultures are able to mesh well so that everyone gets along isn’t a bad thing. It was delivered badly here, but is not innately bad.
My friend’s son, when he was like 9, busted out with this at dinner one night:
Some of you … are aliens.
The suggestion that parents should hit their children is an interesting one.

Oh god not another one
Pay attention to “events that actually happen” and “things that people in power say.” Pay far less attention to “kvetching and predicting.”
If you stop paying attention entirely, you’re going to end up with a whole lot of Shocked Pikachu Face in your future.
Take - and make - your opportunities to change minds. Don’t be afraid, but be careful. Don’t be polite for the sake of politeness, but be kind, be considerate, even be gentle when you think it will help, but don’t be polite.
Not to put too fine a point on it: No.
The horses have been led to the water many times. They are welcome to drink whenever they choose. The time for talking is over.
Well, you don’t have to.
