  • Yeah my dad was discussing MAID (medically assisted death) recently, he is in his late 70s.

He lost his heel in a motorcycle accident in the 1970s and they butchered up his right inner thing taking a chunk out and putting it on his foot. So now both his legs are in constant pain and he spends most of his day high as a kite to deal with the pain. He can barely walk anymore. He got through cancer a few years back which made matters worse and he lost his sense of taste so he gets to be in pain all day and not taste anything enjoyable.

Nothing medical is going to improve his life drastically so if MAID is what he wants then I will support him.

  • I got very expensive prescription Bolle sunglasses, they were stolen from my car. That was back in 2004 and weren’t worth the money for something I wore about 4 times before they were stolen.

I have Maui Jim sunglasses that are great, the polarization is excellent for seeing wildlife in the water. I only wear them occasionally as I’d rather wear 10 dollar glasses I don’t care about wrecking. So I have 4 or 5 pairs of different styles of cheap ones. Most important is to get polarized lenses, other than that if you go cheap you can try every style until you find the right ones for you.

  • I work in a warehouse, I come in at 7 and leave around 330. I put away freight, help the occasional customer, pick orders, ship out orders. AI can’t do any of that in a small town. It still tries to get in where it can like customers wanting industrial automation products that have AI programming but that is way above my pay grade.

My previous job in a warehouse they were trying to do away with the manual routing of delivery routes by using an “AI” routing program but it was just an automated routing program they slapped the AI label on to charge more. It was just following rules not being actually intelligent.
