Nah, that’s what the yellow pages were for. And to be able to see over the steering wheel for our vertically challenged friends. And to start fires in the fireplace at Christmas, just tear the pages out.

If that were actually the result I’d be less concerned I think. I might even shoot to be in the blast radius.
Also out of curiosity… if Bruce Banner gets old and starts to have a heart attack/stroke does his fear turn him into the hulk and he just stays that way forver afraid of turning back so he lives forever?
I usually aim for that as well. Although I knew a guy years ago that would stare at someone’s ear to see how long it would take to make them wonder if he was staring at something behind them or what they were doing.
It really wouldn’t to be practical for me to run away from everyone. Also at 35 my hair has thinned on top a bunch so the more I look down the more it would expose such. Something comical in thinking there will be people shorter than me who I am confident around who will think I have a full head of hair, and those I am not confident around and look down, will know I don’t, haha
Sometimes staring into someone’s eyes feels too personal. Lower your eyes, realize now you may come across as looking at their chest, keep going, looking at our feet, wow they must thing I’m uncomfortable or think I have a foot fetish yikes. Just keep turning that head down until your chest swings round and rush off in the other direction. *Scooby Doo- scram
"First time seeing this. Much more common one is “you shouldn’t give a fuck” or a version without swearing: “don’t stick your nose into other people’s business*”
Is that an accurate translation? If so… Very similar to sayings in the U.S.
Works if it comes from someone you respect/ look up too. If a doctor or EMT says it, it tends to have more effect. Because the people believe they are working in their best interest. Anyone who gets more upset at their partner for saying calm down either does not trust them to have their best interest at heart at that time, or does not respect them.
I understand you just mean the term murder has legal definitions that vary. In California it may fall under this second section.
"Sentencing for Involuntary Manslaughter: Involuntary manslaughter, under Penal Code Section 192(b), involves causing a death without intent to kill, often through reckless or negligent actions. It differs from voluntary manslaughter by focusing on the lack of malice and intent. The law penalizes those whose careless conduct results in fatal outcomes.
Involuntary manslaughter is typically classified as a felony, with potential imprisonment ranging from two to four years. The court considers the defendant’s conduct and case circumstances, including the degree of negligence and foreseeability of harm. Restitution to the victim’s family for economic losses is often required, emphasizing the broader impact of the offense. Probation may be considered for first-time offenders or cases with mitigating circumstances."
Well the conditioning part of the air turned off when the engine turned off. The police reported the air was still going but warm when they arrived. Meaning she murdered her child and will likely get off with some kind of child neglegence charge.
She deserves worse, but honestly I can’t see a judge thinking she won’t have already received punishment by losing her child.
$300 shoes? I think the most expensive shoes I’ve ever bought were $70. I’m sure a lot of the issue with him getting picked on isn’t so much brand name but him feeling like he has no say in what he wears and feeling like he is dressed by his parents in styles he has no say in. Its been 25 years since I entered middle school like this kid, but back then I would have felt the same way if my parents were forcing me to wear something I didn’t like/want. It wasn’t about price either. Often times the shoes my parents wanted me to wear were the same or higher in price, but styles change over time and vary by region/groups. People have their own personalities and prefer to fit in if they can. If the kid doesn’t want to feel like a toddler and have more freedom in what they wear it isn’t a bad thing.
Ran out of butter last week and found out when I went to make a little bit of fudge. I used the bacon fat I strain and keep in a jar in the fridge. I usually don’t care for bacon tasting desserts, but I wasn’t mad about that decision at all.
Thanks! I’ll look into that, this could be useful for me then after all. This is why it’s always good to ask questions
Not sure, I just saw the 6 day thing in the article, that would be nice though
Edit: vorpal says you should be able to using ACME https://programming.dev/comment/17987211
Maybe I’m not understanding it but I can’t see what I would use this for due to the 6 day issue period. Bringing a NAS up to copy data for a couple days is the only real use case I find for home users.
Because even if you pay for a static external IP from your ISP, this doesn’t support using such for longer than that period right?
Fucking cavemen and their science knowledge
Oh definitely. Individual metal smooth ball, fine. 10 of them not touching fine. 9 spoons not touching, fine. But if one touches the wall of the microwave or another of the objects there will be a quick spark, and depending on how long the contact, maybe a flame+
Caveman posted a video below that basically shows without rough edges, your usually okay https://lemmy.world/comment/18066606
Note, stainless steel and glass lids are made for microwave safe containers.
I thought that was an Amazon bag sitting in the doorway due to the logo/handle similarity.
Was looking for information technology. That’s a penis
It’s also worth noting it came out in 2017. In the years leading up to that namely around 2014 everyone was questioning if Sony was going to have to declare bankruptcy. Throwing a large amount of money into a product that can draw users to your console/platforms for a cheap price that your main competitor couldn’t afford to do probably sounded like a good strategy at the time, knowing they could drive costs up if they got the user base built.
Sony may have recovered though
That’s usually because the syrup to carbonated water ratio is different. But yeah I’m sure if you never clean the lines it won’t be as good. (Or if you have some weirdness where people are swapping the soda lines. Should be rare though, as you don’t want to swap which one says coke/sprite/w.e on the other end
When I moved in 2016 I didn’t have a place to bring all my books so I got rid of my bookcase and most of my books. I filled a suitcase with what I kept and I think that suitcase with what I refused to get rid of at the time. After another couple moves that suitcase kept getting lighter. Eventually if I own a house I’ll start collecting again
