Other than a crippling fear of sex, I’m doing OK!

Four year relationship with a guy. At 1.5 years I found out he was cheating, and he convinced me to stay. A few years later he lost his job, never got unemployment payments, made no attempt to find a job, let me pay for everything while he smoked weed and played videogames for a year. I worked 70 hour weeks to pay our bills. He crashed my car one night by going for a midnight munchies run while stoned.

Even after all that I was willing to stay. But a few months after he got a job, I found out that he had been cheating almost every day while I was at work. I got an STD from his infidelity. This was the point I decided to leave.

Tried to leave and he hit me and physically restrained me from leaving the house. It took around 6 months to safely get out of the relationship. He stole my (new) car on his way out and tried to steal my dog.

To make the grapes even better, freeze them with the citric acid. It makes an awesome treat.

That’s a nice thought but it’s sadly not how reality works for many people who are living paycheck to paycheck.

Those dollars won’t mean much when they’re being buried. I lost an employee many years ago when the company insisted we go into the office during an ice storm and he swirved into a tractor trailer. It was an entirely senseless and avoidable death.

It irks me when people order delivery when the roads are unsafe - no one should have to put their life on the line like that. I know some people rely on it, though. The snow has been terrible here for days and Meals on Wheels has been canceled so I cooked a big pot roast today to share with elderly neighbors. We’ve all gotta look out for eachother.

I’m so thankful that I chose to only get an Associate’s. Paid in cash by going part time while working full-time in retail. Instead of paying student loans, I bought a house. The university path is useless in IT.

In 2005 I was playing Final Fantasy XI Online and met a group of 5 Japanese players in an expansion area. We wound up partying together for 8 hours straight. They all spoke English in chat for my sake, and we had an incredible rhythm together. We discussed new anime and a few English cartoons that had recently made it to Japan. We took a selfie together at the end of the 8 hours. It was the best gaming experience of my life. I’ll never forget it.
