I’m really out of practice, but I remember that onion fondly. My teacher would have us write our fundamental principles down and then do it again a year later and compare.
I trained tai chi and a little ba gua. I sparred a little with some karate and take kwon do people. I cleaned up. I did some light sparring with a ba gua guy and he was literally throwing me around effortlessly.
I was taught well. I would imagine that my teacher was 1/1000. When looking for him, I found at least 5 different schools that had no idea what they were doing and teaching tai chi anyways.
Good advice. It’s also good to have clear boundaries set up. The ideal. The what you expect, and the non negotiable. Start with the ideal. Expecting to get pushed towards what you expect. Never budge on the nonnegotiable.
I know I’ve been told that he was eventually run over. Probably by some grade school teacher.
I’ve switched to frozen vegetables for the same reason. The way I normally cook, it doesn’t make an appreciable difference to me, and I don’t have a crisper that’s filled with a moldy who knows what from however long ago that was.
I’ve gotten blueberries from Costco that went moldy the day after. I’ve never had a serious issue with frozen food going bad

I’m with you. Toxic gender roles need to gtfo. I would have been a great stay at home dad, but toxic gender roles got in the way.
