The frontend is the portion of a webserver you see. It’s the website after the server has done processing everything it needs to in the background.

I don’t know about government/societal consensus being the standard by which we teach. I’d prefer expert consensus on subjects being taught more. As a US citizen, Governments and societies are often bigoted and delusional.
