Since China and other countries ended communism, poverty has declined faster than at any other point in human history.

Don’t tell the people of Lemmy that capitalism and global trade are a large reason for the decline in overall poverty though.

There’s no agenda here.

Here in the UK (and I imagine it’s similar across the rest of Europe), the most disadvantaged group in education are white, working class boys.

But this doesn’t fit the “privilege” narrative so no one gives a shit.

I hate everything to do with identity politics. All it has done is divide us even more and caused more conflict between ordinary people.

The “terminally online” aspect is the obsession with pronouns, which doesn’t seem to exist in reality.

I know quite a few LGBT people and even work with someone who is trans. None of them have ever once mentioned anything about pronouns. Because we just conversed like normal people.

Remember when we just conversed like human beings and didn’t have all this convoluted nonsense about worrying over pronouns?

If the person is called John, 99.9% of the time, you know what the pronouns would be, because not everyone is terminally online.
