As a noun to refer to humans?
Obviously the exclusionary group is going to exclude the people they don’t like with their slogans though. Trans exclusionary radical feminists don’t believe trans women are women. The “adult human female” shit across from them “defining woman” or something to that effect.
I just view it as a quirk of the language. “Guys and girls” or “guys and gals” are paired words. Guy is a casual way to refer to men, so I think people use girl as a casual way to refer to women because it’s sort of the pair to guy. Lady feels too formal.
Just don’t use male or female as nouns to refer to humans. That simple. If you’re talking about animals it doesn’t matter.
Can’t help but notice you’re complaining about the post but never did what the post is complaining about.
That’s a good point. I’ve got a little 4x4 raised bed. I didn’t do anything with it last year and haven’t gotten around to anything this year. I’m in the south east. I was considering just dumping a bunch of sunflower seeds in. I’ll try to do some research though and get something better.
Edit: turns out sunflowers are more native than I thought, but might be more Midwest.
If you can suggest native ground cover that is low maintenance and easy to start I’d consider it. I’m not going to put plugs in my yard when I can just over seed with clover. Clover is strictly better than turf grass.
I forget the term for non native, non invasive plants (naturalized?) but those are good too. Native is best, of course. I see a ton of carpenter bees (native bees to my area) on my red clover (non native, non invasive).
Could literally be talking about billions of people from a period spanning thousands of years.
This is the closest one I could find because it has kids and mentions a black box. There were a ton though. https://youtu.be/dO7cvpVPv2A
The one that stuck out was a career day thing and one kid was bragging about his dad’s “black box” that gets free cable! Wow! And the one of the other parents was a police officer! Oh no! 😱
If you just look up “cable theft commercial” in YouTube you’ll find a lot. Some are more humorous. For example, this one encourages reporting people who steal cable. https://youtu.be/y3DmyJ9dYrk Specifically that, minor spoiler, are jerks!
You reminded me of the massive amount of “Dad gets free cable with his little black box” commercials as a kid.
I’ve seen some microwaves that say sensor but then ask how much popcorn you’re putting in.

Why would someone not act 100% rationally 100% of the time?
Okay is one of the coolest words ever. It started sort of as a “meme” speak thing around 1900 (I don’t remember exactly, may have been older). They would take phrases then spell them differently then abbreviate the misspelling. So okay the word was originally OK the acronym for “oll korrect” which was “all correct.”
A similar thing would be like saying “acey” for “AC” for “all correct”. I’ve thought about trying to make it a thing with my friends but it feels a little too abstract.
It depends on the context and the person for me.
Go ask the actual person who said it was a deal breaker for them, I can’t explain it more simply than I have.
Gee, I wonder if Aryansoldier1488 knows if 1488 is a dog whistle for Nazis? I’d hate for Aryansoldier to get caught up in this. It was probably a random number.
How often has that happened to you?
