If you do it yourself that’s called thinking for yourself and having an opinion and you know how that goes these days 🙄

Proprietary in design? Cause ps1, 2 and 3 had the memory cards and those were sold by MadCatz, Neon and there was another really good third party seller that sold those. The PSP original ran off of of regular memory sticks that you could use literally any brand but the speeds and quality of the Sony ones were set to specs for the PSP, like the Nintendo cards are set to specs for the system but in reality you can use nearly any SD card.
So whatchu talking about?

The removal of that person moderating people to the level of being shadow banned without notice means that Lemmy did indeed just save itself, does it not?

an obfuscated ban list with instances, communities, and people that asimons04 wanted to personally discriminate against and it would silently shadowban them from any site that used Tesseract.

1992 born, I got the tail end of that. My mom was a cobol programmer, while my dad was able to get his hands on recycled hardware. Before the house fire, he had at least 20 towers, bags of parts, a closet full of monitors, keyboards and mice.
It was trippy to see the growth of technology from windows 95 to now.

My tism found that as adorable as electrickery. 😊
Ultimately though, the greed of capitalism is what bothers people more than anything but greedy thinking is how you make money. The one thing no one can seem to do in this country (US) is not being able to do something without the, “what’s in it for me,” mindset BUT!!! that’s because people want compensation for their time, effort and labor and thus isn’t greed but wanting fair pay for their time. We’ve hit the point where labor and wages don’t make sense to the common worker while the 90k$ and up earners aren’t doing so bad.
That’s not saying the lower wage workers don’t deserve fair pay but at the same time certain jobs have more societal importance and comparing a grocery bagger to a radiologist, it’s like you’re out of your minds if you think a bagger deserves as much of a pay as the person looking inside your body.
So then we look at the other bigger picture which is college tuition so people go the other way around with certifications but then people have to put in field training and labor and get the internship out of the way.
I love capitalism and hate it at the same time I really do! But I also really don’t think I could live in anything else.
Influencer culture wouldn’t be what it is today without capitalism and the spearheading of monetization.
Anything you do: “for the hustle,” is you working with capitalism. Any influencer side shop where they’re the sole creators and using a dropshipping service, you’re enjoying capitalism.
Captialsim is the most under-described socioeconomic-political system ever!!! When you’re a kid they always used to go: Work hard, Play hard but they don’t underscore that greed behind it the fact that at some point in your life you WILL not you might BUT WILL say: What’s in it for me? And that right there is how you make money and that’s capitalism.
That’s the freezing cold, dirty, truth of capitalism: What’s in it for me? - runs society.

Well it depends on needs too. I tried to explain this before is that if you’re 4 hours away in travel for something that could be done in 1 hour worth of travel, something that’s as important as your mom dying; Are you gonna take the 4hour train or the 1hour plane?

Let’s also compare that time to the round trip of Boston (back bay) to Worcester (union station) and back using the regualr commuter rail. The amount of time it takes to get from Boston to Worcester via CR, is a plane to New York and back.
Driving vs CR is a crazy difference that no one likes to admit or acknowledge.
It takes literally ¼ the amount to drive to Worcester from greater Boston than it does to take a CR from back bay. But not one will ever say it, they’ll all say we need higher speed trains.
It was mostly a self-depricating joke.
That was missed on my end. Sorry about that.
That’s not true. You don’t need to mimic the model you can buy the clothes, try them on and see if you like them on you. If you don’t send them back. The best pair of shorts I have is modelled by an Asian dude and he’s like an ordinary looking individual and then those pants are the same as I have and they’re modelled by that guy.
Skin tone, height and body type is what you should be focusing on for a comparison. Trying to mimic a model, will always leave you feeling discouraged. Also if you know what already looks good on you, roll with that and do variations and shit. That’s a style right there. I can do plain and boring but I can wear a button up and a slim cut pair of jeans with a regualr nice shirt.
I can wear anythig that I think looks good on me. That’s not confidence (or autism), it’s just I have a renewed sense of fuck it all in life and why the fuck should I care what anyone thinks about how I look? If it looks good to me, feels good to me and fits well, ☝🏻 while also not making people around me uncomfortable, then I’m gonna wear it. And you can do the same homie.
I read boiling the water and slow pouring reduces them. I also read stories of people boiling their water and then using a pour over coffee filter to attempt to reduce them.
If I can be honest though it’s not hard to distill your own water it’s just that the pH gets reduced and humans are used to 6.0-6.3 and distilled is like a perfect 5.0 to 5.5
