It’s so we can fully utilize all our Freedom!
Pure, unbridled, narcissistic confidence, mostly.
Disc seems to be anything with a round and flat outer appearance, where disk seems to refer to any other storage media
I think they’re the same word, though.
“I have seen this before, therefore no one else needs to.”
I agree with this 100%
I used to love wallowing in bad news, but it just got to the point it was having more of a negative impact than it’s worth. I still pay attention to what’s going on, it just doesn’t need to be via an IV bag all day so I filter most of it out now.
It’s a valid question, yet you get downvoted…
This coming from the guy literally picking fights in the conservative community over this…
Yeah, okay buddy. I suppose next you’re gonna tell me climate change is real, huh?
You’re so edgy and cool! Yes you are! Such a feisty little fella.
Yeah, champ. You tell em!
Not stupid, just pointless
Stolen. (as to say I’m stealing it)
I don’t know if this counts, but I’d say the Enlightenment. It was a discovery in that we discovered a new way to interpret the world.
I think there is kind of a glass ceiling when you talk about fire, plumbing, electricity and so on. Each one was a necessary stepping stone to get us where we are, but without any one of them, we wouldn’t be here.
The Enlightenment gave us a brand new sense of autonomy as a species, which in turn has given us a greater amount of control over “Destiny.”
Ohhh, I think I getchu. It seems to be more of a problem for you in the use of “personality” non clinically?
Do you think it’s nonsense in pop psychology, professional psychology, or both?
I don’t think they’re meant to describe someone’s “everywhere all the time” personality. I’ve met and know several people that fit into one or the other.
One friend is completely “alive” at D&D, but quiet and reserved at any other social function, whereas another loves going to concerts, parties, and other social events, but falls asleep trying to play board games.
I don’t think it’s meant to be an end-all, be-all. Just one way to generally categorize personality.
As far as people being complex? Above a certain level, yeah, definitely. But we also have a lot of very low level behavior that’s relatively easy to categorize.
I think you just helped me realize what’s keeping me going…
