I think they probably wake up thinking exclusively about how to increase their net worth, through politics and marketing, at the expense of low information voters.

Capitalism is like an unstoppable, unavoidable virus that has already breached the farthest reaches of the world. It’s almost like every single person on the planet is born into it and cannot escape it for the entire duration of their lives - their deaths approaching ever faster, the less capital they accrue.

See how just stating the obvious sounds like a criticism of Capitalism itself?

I am not criticizing Capitalism, but I am being honest about some dark truths about it. If I had to venture a guess, I would say people who know the true nature of the beast are better prepared to tame it and become wealthy.

Some of those people are also going to sound like they are criticizing Capitalism whenever they broadcast the truth they know.

People’s Park was a major local landmark with a long history that is well known to students, faculty, residents, and alumni. It had become a home to otherwise homeless people whose existence was inconvenient for the university’s expansion plans and an eyesore to arrogant passersby.

The park’s history includes both civil and violent disobedience, including against the university itself.

It would not be surprising to hear that, whatever is built on this lot, it is subsequently destroyed by an act of arson or other vandalism.

I am surprised they are taking the risk and making the investment at all. IMO it would have been safer to just buy some of the private properties surrounding the park instead, even at a premium.

All these beef stroganoff memes got in my head and yesterday it was just about all I could do to make egg noodles and beef stroganoff from scratch.

Nachos are just upgraded taco salad.

I went to a party where everyone was supposed to bring a salad and vote on the best one. I brought the nachos. The vote was unanimous.

Pretty sure flatbread predated leavened bread, so it’s reasonable to conclude tacos predated both hot dogs and sandwiches.

Conclusion: Hot dogs are tacos, sandwiches are broken tacos.
