That is undeniably a Nazi salute. I’m actually more surprised he didn’t yell “HEIL DONALD” too

It’s funny that Xiaohongshu is popping off right on the cusp of a TikTok ban. They’re not even flocking to established US alternatives.
Oh yeah, 100% “leopards ate my face” vibes
She expelled her dad from the party for not toning down his rhetoric.
I’m from the UK and it’s not the worst fast food I’ve had. KFC is the really fucking dire brand here.
Jokes aside, I prefer Burger King to McDonalds, and I think it’s because McDonalds came under a lot more scrutiny in my country and had been forced to tone down their menu and marketing. Maccy D’s were the ones who rapidly expanded in the UK and also made bank from Happy Meals and the child market, so of course they’d have all eyes upon them.
McDonalds are trying to make their menus and advertising appear healthier, whereas BK are like “look at this sexy dripping quarter pound whopper, you know you want it you fat fuck!”
And that’s why I can order a Bacon Double Cheeseburger XL from my local BK and feel like I’m actually eating a burger, whereas the equivalent in a McDonalds costs 30% less but is half the size, doesn’t taste flame grilled and looks like it was rapidly cobbled from preprocessed shit that’s less than 32% meat.
Not Marine Le Pen, her far more racist dad.
I mean the Trumpists got what they wanted 🤷♂️
Boss makes a dollar
I make a dime
That’s why I’m jerkin
On company time.
Instances are moderated by their moderators. Other instances that would rather not associate with a different instance can withdraw federation. I think the system works fine.
Difference between Reddit and Lemmy is that you can legit say “I’ll start my own Lemmy, with blackjack and hookers” and expect it to make an impact.
Whereas with Reddit, whatever Spez says is law, even if it’s as consistent as bird shit on a car windscreen.
Reddit mods being power tripping cucks as usual.
Mastodon just sucks as a user experience. Your average Joe doesn’t give a fuck about federation, yet it’s the whole Fediverse crap that harms the UX.
I made the mistake of signing up to a smaller Mastodon instance. Place was virtually empty aside from the lead admin (bit of a pretentious asshole) and a few other guys, and if you decide to browse the All Instances view, you’re flooded with posts from hentai reposting bots. And when I saw the #loli hashtag in one of those posts I immediately noped out.
Threads is still in a really bad state well over a year later. Meta still haven’t implemented hashtags and trending topics (even Mastodon has these), and my feed is full of thirst traps.
Bluesky has it all, and was created by Twitter’s original founders.
A mutual friend of ours got into an argument with him because he made some new friends at his local pub and was buying pints for them left, right and centre. He took serious offence to the suggestion that they were using him for his money (he got about £120k in inheritance after his mum died) and cut both of us off, even though I never said anything to him.
I don’t want to elaborate on his backstory but he had a lot of mental health problems and past trauma. After a lot of bad things happened a few years ago, he decided that he was done with life and vowed not to outlive his cats. Have tried to talk him out of it but he’s set on ending his own life after his cats pass away.
I presume he’s still alive, but I can’t get in touch with him as he nuked his phone number and blocked me on all socials.
I mean considering the fact that he flashed himself to a 16 year old girl without any warning, I’d say that tattoo was well deserved.
Oh it’s been like that long before January 6th, and long before Trump even stepped foot in the Republican primaries eight years ago.
That wasn’t me defending Jan 6th either. Trump’s little Beer Hall Putsch was frankly inexcusable, and the fact that he’s likely not going to face any kind of criminal repercussions for it makes the US look weaker than the Weimar Republic.
He did a second one that seemed far more coordinated in terms of its posture.
