293·3 months agoYou mean the 3ft wide lane you couldn’t fit a compact car in? Who’s going to drive in that lane? Brodizers? Mall crawlers?

961·3 months agoNo, it’s because he was in the video conference while driving showing that he was distracted and danger to pedestrians and cyclists.
If he’s doing to drive recklessly he has no business deciding any matters of road safety.
I don’t have Facebook so I can’t view it, do you have another link?

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why is kindness often viewed as a sign of naïveté?English
921·4 months agoPeople sometimes have difficulty walking the line between being nice and being a doormat and let people take advantage of their kindness. This bitters some people and they start to see their own kindness as a weakness.
When this happens they tend to think people who are kind just haven’t had that bad experience yet and that they’re naive about the way the world “really works”.
Love this weird animation style.
I’m pretty sure it’s Rotoscoping

On my phone I have to wait about a second between each space I enter because Android wants to automatically add a “.” to the end of a sentence if I double space too fast.

30·5 months agoI think it’s less about what he’s capable of doing and more about what he signifies.
Electing an openly socialist mayor to one of the biggest cities in the country is a huge step, one that could gain momentum and they definitely do not want more of that happening, especially in the house and Senate.
They think if they nip it in the bud now they may be able to get ahead of it, but I think they fail to realize they might make a political martyr out of him instead.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•If you could have any vision-related superpower, what would it be?English
2·5 months agoGood point.
Let’s tie it to the object itself then rather than a physical location. Look at any object and see it’s past as far back as you want.
Pick a brick somewhere in the middle and keep going back until the bricks past shows it getting stacked.
Would be pretty cool for things found in antique stores.

If we never fight back, they can keep doing as they please with no resistance.“The revolution will be bloodless if the left allows it”.
The problem is, they’re already doing it right now and we don’t even have a rebellion to show for it.
