Where i live alcohol isn’t available in the grocery store. So I basically stopped because I was too lazy to go too a separate store for something I didn’t really need. There are sooo meny other drinks available now that taste wonderful with no alcohol.
If can either get a bottle of wine or a bottle of pom juice. I’m going with the pom juice.

1·2 months agoZork is going to be great. Decent should run ok.
I have bazzite, it also includes graphics drivers ready to go which is nice. If you’re going to use steam for gaming i find it great. But this distro is not needed for gaming, one can install and game on any of the popular distros. You’re friend needs to try a few and see what feel best for them.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Finally switched my fiancee to bazzite, fuck me was it a trial
2·3 months agoYeah, i have an example of this. I spent since time today building a local copy of handbrake have it run in a distrobox of arch to get AMD hardware acceleration as an option. The flatpak version refused to do this. It wasn’t too bad, but still wild i did this.

1·6 months agoi picked up a free protector that’s only 720 resolution and works perfectly for watching movies. just find an affordable one used and you’ll do fine. Don’t forget to check thrift stores.
tailscale worked some times, but seemed to depend on the location of the moon relative to the air speed of a nearby sparrow and it was really slow.

I also want to look into the exit node stuff.
