In my part of town, there is a local highway we have to cross to get to school. As there is no crossing guard, I will go walk them. This walk us like ten minutes, no problem. However, once kids go to the other schools in town the walk goes from 10 to 30 minutes easily. Since the kids still have to cross that highway that no one cars to safely stop, we have to drive the kids. So in this case, poor driving skills and poor pedestrian safety is why.

Where I grew up a bus was needed as the schools were too far away to walk.

Synology includes some php runtime or package they require… I think… But I dont expose my services outside.

I agree. On a new machine I’ve been using I tried Ubuntu and then Zorin, but Bazzite just works better. Could be the Fedora base that’s helping a lot, idk. But switching that machine over when I’m not lazy.

I find 8th gen i5 and i7 laptops under 200 all over eBay. Hard to beat.

I only got a house as the monthly was below that of rent. When I was renting, I read the richest man in Babylon book. Its a bit dated advice, but I combined that with the play yourself monthly mentally. What I mean is I set aside some money each month for me to spend on anything extra. New pants, go out to movies, whatever. This money can also carryover to allow for a larger purchase, like a phone.

Anyway, don’t look to others as an indicator to your life journey. Write your story and don’t stress.
