I mean, I wouldn’t put it past Sony to do something like that, but I’m not sure they had a big hand in no mans sky’s launch.

Nah, thats something else I think.
The big thing I remember was them doing interviews with Sean and he was hyping everything over the moon. And then the game launched without alot of the things he hyped so yeah, lots of upset folks including me.
I didn’t write that with chatgpt but okay
They absolutely , horrendously butchered their prelaunch publicity, and the whole world roasted them for it, rightfully so. And I think if they do make another game, they’re gonna be put under a microscope for any future mistakes.
But I mean, they’ve added everything they said they were going to, plus an absolute ton of other content on top of that. For free. For a decade. I feel like that counts for something. If it were actually a scam, they would have just taken the money and ran, like you’re implying.
Is there anything about the game you think is still missing?
10$ a year is (was) the price of 2 full price titles. And that’s about the price I pay for games in a year. How much do you pay for games in a year?
You could play full games, start to finish. I think it’s kinda unfair to compare them to demos. It was a pretty good deal at $10 a month.

21·9 months agoNah, it was just a terrible game, hence the lack of advertisement. A hero shooter with zero soul put into it.
Edit: I actually played the game, would love to see the person who downvoted me defend fuckin Concord of all things 😂

6·9 months agoDoom dark ages. Just upgraded my computer, and I thought ‘hey, I really liked 2016 and eternal, this’ll be great, and it’s got great reviews’. Nah, the whole game just felt…okay. I might try it again at some point and mess with the difficulty settings, but I felt like I was forcing myself to play it the whole way through.

17·11 months agoTo me, it’s a similar game to animal crossing. Lots of things to do and customize, not alot of depth. But, some people enjoy that, and that’s okay. And I gotta give them credit for adding so many updates over the years.
