Which is how fast?

And what is the memory bandwidth on these APUs?
you’d definitely be able to do it cheaper with PC hardware.
You can get a GPU with 192GB VRAM for less than a Mac? Sign me up please.
Why even bother with things like strings for a salt? I would expect it to just take a byte array. Just create some random bytes and provide that.
The way it works here (the Netherlands) the monthly cost for the connection to the grid depends on the maximum current and number of phases.
Some examples: a 1 phase 1A connection costs €11,12 per month, 3x 25A costs €168,99 , 3x 80A is €408,94 (there are other capacities available with different rates).
To me this seems like a fair way of doing it, someone who draws more power (or higher peak power) needs a beefier hookup and that requires beefier and more expensive equipment and cables.
they wanna share a codebase between web, desktop and possibly mobile.
That way you get an app that’s crap on every platform.
So buy land, dump trash on it. Got it.
Oh, I get to choose health insurance too. Only it’s not linked to my employer. And they all have to offer the same coverage. And they can’t refuse you for the basic health insurance.
I don’t close tabs, I just open new ones for the next project.
Someday a archeologist will be able to write a paper on life in the 21st century after excavating my collection of open tabs.
The OP mentions he uses Comcast, which is an American ISP. I myself live in ‘socialist’ Europe and I can choose from 13 different ISP on fiber alone. Surely OP who lives in ‘free-market’ USA must have an unimaginable number of options.
Why not switch to a non-shit ISP?
It’s one microwave, how much could it cost? 1000 dollars?
That’s not a solution at all. First of all, depending country, you will need a gambling license. This is a PITA as gambling laws will differ per country. In my country gambling is heavily regulated and you would need to check ID and keep track of how much a person gambles. You have a duty of care and if you notice a person’s gambling habits are becoming problematic you have to refuse them.
That doesn’t really work if people from other instances do get to downvote.
I’m on lemmy.one which has disabled downvoting. If I had known in advance I would have picked another instance. Unfortunately, Lemmy doesn’t have a mechanism to transfer your account to another instance yet.
I don’t think it’s a token gesture. Microsoft is a software company; they want to sell software, not hardware. They don’t really care about xbox other than as a means to sell more software and gamepass subscriptions. Selling their games on as many platforms as possible is a logical move for them.
It’s dark early because it’s winter. DST sucks in summer, we should move the clock an hour backwards in summer, not forwards.
There’s also some stupid UX choices that show they simply don’t give a fuck. On the Steam Deck when you want to update something and you don’t have enough space it simply says “not enough free space”. What use is that to me? Tell me how much you need!
