I did too. As much as I hate MS, Xbox live is really our only way to play with our friends (who live all over the world because my husband is a night owl). I got Ultimate for giggles and it turned out my husband games so much it was a good deal. It’s definitely not at the new price. I personally have only used the console to play Minecraft over the last two years since I can’t get Bedrock on my steam deck without some major fuckery.

Jfc I just downgraded back to Premium. We were paying for Ultimate but never used it. What a great way to force users to look at their subbed to. It’s pretty fucking awful to pull this shit with no real announcement.

I never had any productive water-cooler conversations but I have had many eye-opening and productive smoke breaks with colleagues when that was a thing. The smoking area was the great equalizer that these companies are waxing nostalgic about.

Yea the science is making the dosage ranges and the art is the caregivers administering the medicine and monitoring the patient. I like the science part but the art part is too stressful for me.

For the newly bred and nearly dead dosing is heavily dependent on rate of metabolism. This is why kidney and liver function are so important to dosage. If a person can’t metabolize and clear out metabolites at a steady rate then it increases the bioavailability of a drug in the person’s system and can lead to overdoses. I used to tell my lab students that there’s no guaranteed way to tell how young kids are going to react to a medication just because their little systems are doing so much at wildly different rates.

I don’t think you have misophonia. Misophonia is where you have an irrational stress/anger response to certain types of sounds. These sounds set off your fight or flight response. My personal triggers are eating noises and dogs drinking water. I don’t make that my partner’s problem though. I think your partner is being inconsiderate and the constant loud noises are overstimulating for you. You obviously need quiet time to recharge/concentrate and your partner is trying to drown the world out. The whole situation sounds unhealthy and unless you both are willing to work on the underlying issues together it will only get worse.

We did have one for a bit. We did a whole arboreal tank set up and even got it to molt twice. They are amazing to watch.

Yea I meant venomous. Hubby was trying to woo me on the idea of keeping Vietnamese centipedes. Serious look them up on YouTube if you want some nightmare fuel. We used to breed Deathstalkers so I’m not opposed to keeping hots but I’m also a safety oriented person.

My husband was worried about bringing me to his apartment for the first time when we were dating because it was filled with tarantulas, scorpions, and snakes. Did not bother me in the slightest and I really got into keeping them too. I did put my foot down on centipedes though because fuck that (too fast, too hot).

I love my Steam deck for this reason. I started out using it to replace my switch and now I’m easing my way into learning Linux.
