If you’re planning on gaming, and you have an NVIDIA card, then I would like to recommend Bazzite. I’ve been using it for months, and I’m very happy with it. Have it installed to my Steam Deck as well as my PC.

As an American, one of the most positive things that could happen to the world is the abolishment of the United States as a government. We’re directly or indirectly responsible for most of the ethnic cleansing that has gone on the last several decades.

I had this problem, but after not being able to resolve it I tried Bazzite and found the gaming experience was much better there anyway, so switched. This problem doesn’t exist on that distro.

The last time this popped up was months ago on reddit, and the tool they came up with did something that could be reversed as a batch job using any image manipulator. Which means somebody will write a Stable Diffusion plug-in to fix these images.

Don’t be too gidy, it won’t work. SD is already trained on poisoned datasets to help it differentiate poorly generated images. We call it “adversarial training”. If this was gonna stop us from making AI artwork, , it already would have.

If this is all artists brought to the table, it wasn’t even a fight. SD is trained on vast data sets, this little effort won’t be but a drop in the ocean.

If it was someplace in Europe, absolutely. I would have zero qualms about ditching this dystopia. Sure, other places have their issues, but few are as bad the the US. With the far right takeover of the Supreme Court, it won’t be very long until the “land of the free” is no freer than Russia or China.

Wait till they find out photographers spend their whole careers trying to emulate the style of previous generations. Or that Adobe has been implementing AI-driven content creation into Photoshop and Lightroom for years now, and we’ve been pretending we don’t notice because it makes our jobs easier.

I tried it with Cyberpunk 2077 and the latency was so low I couldn’t notice it. I had no issues weaving in and out of traffic at high speeds.

It’s really a matter of whether your ISP can handle it. Many of those in the US cannot because there’s not a lot of regulations regarding the minimum quality of service they have to provide.
