I wish we could get such policies. At the very least there should be codes that wealthy people that leave to avoid taxes will be barred from doing any business in the US, which should extend to global partners that choose to do business with them if they then wish to expand to the US, nope you partnered with asshole McGee after they ran away so fuck off. It could be done, it would just require the agents and resources to do so.

But just as our elected officials won’t vote against their own interests, they will defend the interests of the robber barons that pay their real salary in bribes, which is effectively legal post citizens united, so nothing can change under the current system, a new one would need to be made in its place.

I’m all for chasing them away.

If taxation is what they won’t accept, They always saw your nation as something to be exploited and sucked dry, which means they were never on your society’s side, which with such resources makes them incalculably dangerous.

If they fail the taxation test, the nation should be relieved when they run away.

The first wave was right. (equal legal rights)

The second wave had a good point. (reproductive rights and workplace discrimination)

The rest were just further attempted power grabs that don’t even make the people they claim to represent happy. They tried to do what well meaning but ultimately misguided anti racism waves did by claiming gender shouldn’t even be acknowledged aka “I don’t even see the color.” Which is it’s own kind of bigotry.

Everyone should be allowed to fill the same role, but while a minority might be ecstatic in the corpo grinder, it made society worse for men and women more generally, and I don’t see many women who enjoy being forced into the hunter gatherer role by the capitalists and the convenient femininists whose message they coopted to boost productivity by mandating ALL the poors make widgets for them if they want to subsist.

It hasn’t been productive to raise women to believe it is essential that they defy gender norms as if it is their mission in life to do so. More than anyone else, modern feminists have culturally demeaned the role of being a wife and mother in society, which is ironic, since they seem dead set on making women fit the mold of the men they see as their oppressor.

Men and women are different, with different strengths and weaknesses and intrinsic desires. With overlap, there are things that make men happier and things that make women happier generally. We should have equality, but we’ve been trying to shoehorn both genders to be interchangable in any societal role en masse, and it’s taken a massive toll on men and women in different ways.

Ive always found it bonkers that young drivers with the sharpest reflexes are punished to the maximum from insurance to rental car rates, as they should, while no one dares punitive action against people who literally lack the faculties to drive safely if they wanted to and incur the wrath of AARP and the like. But those necrotic seniors make the rules, sadly. They can cause accidents with abandon, but some thing’s gotta be done about those young maniacs on the road driving 10 over the speed Limit as you drive 30 under it with white, arthritic knuckles on the steering wheel for dear life, calling your impromptu roadblock “safe.”

Bullshit, billionaires are too greedy and morally bankrupt to leave exploited money on the table.

They won’t close the highest producing stores and effectively kill a revenue stream out of conviction in something that isn’t money, because if they had any beliefs or values above “gimme gimme gimme moar moar moar” they wouldn’t be billionaires.

It’s not a matter of not needing it, no shit, they have a socially encouraged mental illness.

It would be better for the new socialist stores if they did vacate the market, but they won’t. They’ll even pull a Walmart and try to do some loss leaders to convince idiots that der free merket menes lower prices for as long as they can stomach it until they find a vector to make the state stores illegal and Jack those prices back up forever.

So the Democrats would be different… how then? Dems and Republicans are both bribed to burn society to fuel economic metastasis at all costs, the only thing that separates them at this point are affirmation ribbons you can’t eat, wear, or live in(D), and stoking hatred through scapegoating® on the social policy side.

If the Democrats get on board with the scapegoating, what are we even voting for anymore? The ONLY reason I vote for them is the harm reduction of not preaching hate as they allow mass homelessness, growing wealth inequity, and defend entire market sectors that have become murderous confidence schemes along with their Republican buddies across the aisle.

Your kind of pragmatism is why we have no real opposition party to the Republicans. Your kind of pragmatism has already brought us to hell.

It really is better to be destroyed by Trump and fascism standing for what’s right, that being empathetic and logical, than to cowtow to his demands.

Better to die on your feet than live on your knees. I won’t be the equivalent of a German who provides silent, obedient consent as they dehumanize the gypsies/Jews/disabled.

It’s not rehabbing the Democrat party to yet again make them a little more similar to the Republicans, they’re already fascist light.

We need a major left wing party in the United States. We haven’t had one in living memory. If we don’t get that, highly likely, the ship will continue to sink until collapse. Then we can form a bunch of smaller nations of varying decency to be destroyed within a couple decades by climate change, forcing us back to a far more hostile nature than humanity has known.

It’s almost funny we are doing all of this to ourselves as a species to prevent what my species sees as the worst possible fate: humanism and global cooperation where no one is allowed to hoard enough resources to live as modern pharoahs while others starve and die of exposure.

We’d rather go extinct or to subsisting off hunting and gathering than forfeit our dreams of being the rich sociopaths inflicting ourselves on the masses. Earth has something for a species that toxic.
