I’m not a violent person, but I like war films. I would think that the same logic could be applied.
I don’t watch asmongold, but my GF does. I don’t think he’s perfect, but I also don’t think he’s dumb, it’s actually quite refreshing to see someone who says what they think even if they know it might be an unpopular opinion, we live in an age where people are scared to offend and we end up with a load of boring fence sitters.
He is gross tho, I’d watch the shit out of a Asmongold spring cleaning stream.
I was playing an online team game the other day. A team mate was banging on about how well he was doing and how he was going to post a video to tiktok, I said “dude, no one cares”, he didn’t post anything after that.
I actually really regret it and wish I could be a more positive person, I’m not sure how though.
Well there is a difference and the horrific nature of the discussion doesn’t mean it’s one that we shouldn’t have, leave alone ban people for wanting to discuss.
One is sick in the head, one has acted upon their sick thoughts. One could possibly be helped before they commit a horrible crime, the other needs to be prosecuted.
What happened with the 24th wrapper?
I’m not telling anyone anything, I’m just saying it’d be shame to end up in another echo chamber, despite the knowledge that I know other people are absolutely fine with that idea.
I’d be fine with the downvotes if they were used as you described, but as there is no realistic way to stop people using them as an “I disagree/I don’t like that” button which is in reality the way they are mostly used. I think we’d be better without.
The average cost of the NHS per person in the UK is £3,268, not being able to opt out of the cost doesn’t make it cheap.
To me it’s absolutely a luxury and despite the NHS not being perfect, there’s an awfully lot of people around the world that envy the system.
How does oxygen fit the definition of luxury?
Though that’s not really the point of your post is it? What you did was read and understand OP correctly but then thought, “won’t it be so hilarious if I make a joke and answered with something that you LITERALLY can’t live with out, instead of contributing to the discussion!?!?! Hahaha delightfully devilish, professorozone!”
That your comment is upvoted is disappointing. It’s Reddit tier crap.
I gave up caffeine a few years ago and I was really surprised by how easy it was and how little I missed it.
Maybe it’s different for me but caffeine ended up being much more of a habit rather than something I thought I needed.
You bring up an interesting point.
Most people wouldn’t consider a cup of tea to be luxurious at all. But if tea was scarce and you only got one cup a year, it would seem absolutely amazing, a special occasion and you’d really savour the experience.
There’s definitely something to be said for luxury which is much more about rarity or restriction rather than the experience itself.
Likewise, flushing the toilet and the shit disappears.
Still better than Reddit, where a divergent opinion is grounds for a permaban.
Not saying that makes it ok though, it still sucks, just a little less.
I often think the place would be better with no downvotes.
If you think a post/comment is good, then upvote. If you think a post/comment is bad, then either get over it and move on or grow a pair and say why.
The freedom of expression means that you have to read/hear/see things that you might not like every now and again, but I’d much rather that than end up in another echo chamber.
I say goodbye to my girlfriend every time I leave, even if she already knows where I’m going and how long I’ll be.
Not if I’m just going to the toilet, but if I’m going to work or something. I’d especially say bye if it was for a couple of days!
I wasn’t trying to say that ethical funds don’t exist, I’m well aware of them. I was saying that when money is on the line, loyalty and ethics often end up second place.
I absolutely agree. I used to have no choice but to buy budget and have to deal with it when stuff inevitably failed and broke. But now I’m much more financially stable, I made a commitment to buy quality when I can, the old “buy once, cry once” mantra.
With clothes I’m in the best of both worlds. I’m a proper hawk for charity shops and if you’re patient you can get both budget and quality. I bought a £100 shirt for £3 the other day and it looked like it had never even been worn, there’s no reason it won’t last me decades if I look after it. Good riddance to TK MAXX and fast fashion. Charity shops are especially good for suits and smart shirts as a lot of men only get them out for interviews and weddings, meaning they are usually in great condition and can be bought at a tiny fraction of the original price, you just have to be patient waiting for ones that are the correct size for you.
Unfortunately, there aren’t many ethics in the world when it comes to money.
If I asked for stripes and got this, I’d want my money back.
