Forty years ago, public views about homosexuality were extremely negative in many rich countries. As the chart shows, back in 1984, one in three Dutch people believed homosexuality was “never or rarely justified”. In Spain and Great Britain, that view was held by the majority. Perhaps most strikingly, three-quarters of Americans thought the same.
To lazy to back up with data, but this shows The Netherlands as the least homophobic country yet at the same time acceptance of queer people went down again this year. They poll every year and the last few years haven’t been pretty. There has been pushback from people fighting the woke virus (whatever that is), though happily not as hard as in the US. Believe we rank like 15th in the world right now, despite being the first country to legalise gay marriage 2 decades ago.
Similiar in Germany. We have more and more Nazis protesting during pride events.
Don’t forget the fascists in our government that want to put trans people in a register.
Fuck you Alexander Dobrindt, you are at fault for my Reddit account being permabanned
