This seems to be around the artist as hero/idol thing and people of talent sometimes lacking character. Its always been a tough thing for me honestly. I like to think they are completely separate and the art stands on its own but its far easier to do when the artist is dead and not making any money off their creations anymore. It also greatly depends on how bad the stuff they did was. Some stuff to me is sorta a hype hate and others are legitimately eeewwww.
